The AfD (Alternative for Germany) is currently polling between 19% and 23% nationally, which makes it the second strongest party in the country. It represents the will of the German people. Without being demonized non-stop by the German media and ruling government, the AfD would undoubtedly poll even higher. Nevertheless, support for the patriotic cause is growing. This could mark a radical shift in Germany’s political trajectory. Germans that vote for the AfD do not want their country to turn into a failed state. It is a perfectly reasonable desire.
