request how much money would be saved if there was only 1 insurance company for the entire US?
I’ve always thought insurance was not really a true “business” because it’s literally just math and stats and a risk reduction via spreading out over many people. I think, the more people, the better those numbers look?
So my question is basically that if we had everyone in the US on 1 health insurance plan, every car owner in the US on 1 auto insurance plan, and every homeowner in the US on 1 home insurance plan, how much money would be saved simply because the risk reduction math looks better?

Request What is the quadratic function for the curvature of the Øresund bridge
For the center, that is. Bonus points if you can find the derivative for the most and least curved parts. The height of the bridge at different points is probably not that hard to find. I live around 600km north of the bridge but maybe some of you are nearer to approximate the height at different points if its not available online.

Self What if the Sun was remplaced by Proxima Centauri? Calculations and impacts

While developing my game, a side question occurred to me: what would happen if the Sun were replaced by a red dwarf, for instance, Proxima Centauri?
In this example, the disks of both stars are enlarged x5, with their proportions maintained. It is assumed that Earth remains at a distance of 1 AU from the star.
- Luminosity: 0.15% of the Sun (magnitude -16 -> 20 times that of the full Moon).
- Size: 0.08°, 1/6 of the diameter of the Moon.
- +/-1.050 days per orbit: Proxima has only 12% of the Sun's mass, so the Earth would orbit it much more slowly at the same distance. -> √(1 / 0,120) x 365
Temperature: approximately -223 °C. The air itself would freeze and settle on the ground, and the sky would turn black, even in broad daylight -> 254 x 0,00151\^(1/4)
