Elena is an emotional cheater and she's unfaithful to both on purpose

Imo, elena is emotionally unfaithful to both, literally admits that the wants to date one and keep the other around. I think the only reason she chose stefen for so long was because she knew damon would wait around and Stefen wouldn't. She does juuust enough to keep damon hopeful - and she literally tries to notebook stefen when he's amnesiafied.

Liz's letter to Caroline

⚠️ WARNING SPOILERS OF THE ORIGINALS AND THE VAMPIRE DIARIES ⚠️

I just rewatched the episode in which Caroline burns Liz's letter. It bothers me SO MUCH that they were able to gather Klaus & Elijah’s ashes scattered all around New Orleans but you tell me that the all-powerful Bennet witch just couldn't fix the letter?? Bonnie was always ready to bend backwards, and quite literally ready to die, when it came to saving Elena, but then she was nowhere to be found when for once Caroline would have needed magic? 🙄

I just hate how this was written.

The selective canon problem in this fandom.

It’s interesting how in fandom debates people suddenly become very strict about canon… but only when that canon benefits their favorite ship or character. Certain scenes or lines get treated like absolute law but the moment other canon scenes contradict that narrative, they’re suddenly “misinterpreted,” “out of context,” or just ignored entirely. You can’t claim to care about canon while cherry-picking which parts count and which don’t. If the story establishes something in multiple seasons you can’t erase those moments just because they make your preferred storyline look messy or inconsistent.

It’s fine to like a ship or character. Everyone has preferences. But pretending the writing is perfectly consistent and dismissing anyone who points out contradictions as “bitter” or “haters” isn’t actually engaging. Either we acknowledge the full canon even the inconvenient parts or we admit we’re just arguing from bias. Both are fine, but they’re not the same thing.

This sub be having me stressed 😂 and it’s not even funny. I be saying what the hell like 20 times a day 😂.

Oh and I’m prepared for the downvotes. That’s y’all thing nowadays lol.
