Katherine is pathetic

She’s strange to me tbh

So she’s a great villain but she’s insanely jealous over Elena for no reason

They look the same, yes, and Elena is nice and had/has Stefan and I see why Katherine is mad, but the whole S5 plot with her taking over Elena’s body was ridiculous imo

Katherine acts as if Elena took everything from her and that’s somehow Elena’s fault like um no, that isn’t Elena’s fault that you became the way you did and that Stefan & Damon left your ass for someone better 💀

So then she takes over Elena’s body just because she wanted Stefan and ruined some people’s relationships like wtf 😭

And yet her whole ass daughter came to find her after 500 years like she & Nadia could’ve just left and spent time together, but nah, Katherine thought it was better to take over Elena’s body because she was obsessed with being with Stefan like just leave already 😭

That and she doesn’t even act good as Elena anymore, it was so obvious that it wasn’t Elena yet she’s posing as her and everyone acts as if they couldn’t tell, like why would Elena make it so that Tyler could overhear what Caroline did with Klaus like give it up lmfao

I don't think I can stop rewatching LMFAO

I have rewatched TVD four times already this year and I feel insane. I don't know if it's my neurodivergence, but I can't get myself to want to watch anything else. I just get so BORED. The only thing that i've been able to substitute it with is Buffy 😂 noticing a theme lmfaoooo H E L P

But fr when I get to the end I have to pry my hands off the remote to avoid watching it AGAIN. I HAVE TO GO AGAINST EVERY OTHER SHOW... AGAIN! BC I LOVE TVD! THEN STOP LOVING TVD! I CANT 😭😭😭

the writers ruined delena

honestly delena was never happy. they had all this built up tension for 3 seasons and she chose stefan over him in the s3 finale. then she gets "sired" to him as a vampire and everyone keeps trying to get them apart saying her feelings arent real. then she turns off her humanity. then katherine takes over her body. then he gets trapped in the other world with bonnie. then she erases her memories of him which btw why would you ever do that. then she becomes human and literally dies. they they barely had any moments of peace in their relationship. meanwhile we got 2+ seasons of pure stelena happiness showing everything and as soon as we get delena every time something tears them apart. i wonder if any real life tensions between nina & ian was the reason for this or if the writers truly liked messing with viewers

Agree or Disagree? Wickery bridge had more plot relevance than some of the main/secondary cast (mainly Bonnie) in the earlier seasons.

Bamon>delena

Im genuinely getting heated thinking about how they never let bonnie get with damon ONCE!! Yes they were good friends but they had sooo much potential because she truly made him better. The only reason i would be against it is because imo bonnie is too good for damon. But they would have been better than delena which was just a bunch of tension and then absolutely nothing at the end.

Did they ever address the fact that Elena knew about Vickie ?

I’m currently on my billionth rewatch of the show and I’m watching the episode where Caroline finds Vickie’s body.

Elena then goes to Matt’s place and hugs him.

Did they ever address the fact that Elena knew she was dead all along ? Was Matt ever mad that she lied to him ? I feel like that was a pretty big deal

I kind of remember Jeremy going trough Elena’s journal and discovering it and being super mad but I don’t remember if Matt ever found out

The writing treats love like you have to suffer.

Something I’ve noticed in tvd especially in how Julie Plec writes relationships is this pattern where loving someone basically means you have to endure anything they do to you. It’s like love = obligation + suffering and certain characters is expected to just take it.

Example 1:⬇️

When Elena and Stefan break up she immediately moves on to Damon and sleeps with him. But instead of that leading to real distance Stefan is still written as

“I’d go back to her in a heartbeat.”

He stays supports her and remains in her life.

In reality there would be boundaries or at least some separation but the show frames his willingness to endure it as love.

Example 2:⬇️

The same thing happens with Stefan and Damon. Damon hurts Stefan over and over again, and Stefan still forgives him, still stands by him, and still feels responsible for him.

It’s always justified with:

That’s his brother”

He loves him”

He turned him”

So again love = enduring pain.

Example 3:⬇️

We see this really clearly with Bonnie too.

Bonnie loves her friends, and because of that, she’s constantly the one sacrificing, fixing problems, and saving everyone. And the group relies on that. It starts to feel like she gets used because she loves them like her love automatically means she’ll put herself through anything for them no matter the cost. Without them doing the same for her.

When you look at all of this together it creates a pattern where love isn’t about mutual respect or boundaries it’s about how much pain you’re willing to tolerate. Characters like Stefan and Bonnie are constantly written as the ones who have to absorb that pain because they “love harder.”and it’s annoying. The issue isn’t forgiveness it’s that the show rarely allows these characters to step back, set boundaries, or choose themselves without being framed as wrong and we seen that when Stefan distance himself from them when Damon died and we seen that when Bonnie distance herself when grams died. Their suffering is treated like proof of their love.

Loving someone shouldn’t mean you have to keep accepting things that hurt you. But in this show it feels like the more you love someone the more you’re expected to endure and that’s a pattern that shows up way too often to ignore.

And before the “it’s just a show” comments start that doesn’t mean it’s above criticism. If anything the fact that it’s written this way on purpose is exactly why it’s worth talking about. The pattern is too common for it to be written accidentally.
