This will be a long one friends. Courage. What exactly is that? Not the dictionary version, what is real courage? It's not a lack of fear; it's the strength of soul and will to take action, despite one's fear, in defense of the values one holds most dear. It is not merely action by itself; a coward running away is taking action. In recent weeks, and bear with me on this one, the Ayatollah Khamenei was asked multiple times why he didn't hide or flee. He typically answered saying, if you can get all Iranians to hide or flee, I will be the last to leave. If you cannot, I will not leave my people. He believed his calling, he believed in his God, and whether you agree or not, I will say it's not yours to judge. He stayed in his place until the end, defending his values by taking every action he could to keep them safe. Now let's just think for a moment, as part of Iran's response on Day 3 today was to hit the PM's office in Israel in retaliation, and yet in stark contrast to the courage shown in Tehran it appears a coward had fled the scene beforehand (latest rumor, off to Berlin, laving 'his people' to fend for themselves). I think back to the legends of courage, the David's against the Goliaths, Jesus against the moneychangers,even though in many cases, the Davids lost and we all know Christ was assassinated. It didn't mean the Davids were wrong, but it did mean they stood solid in their integrity and their convictions. They did not run. i honor the courage of the men and women in the armed forces of any nation who are committed to the defense of those they love; repeat, IN DEFENSE of those they love. A motherfucker than leaves his people in fear due to his own actions to start the death and destruction is a POS. This is not about Israel v. Iran...it's about courage versus evil. Let me clear, as I sign off. I DGAF if you disagree. Indiscriminate killing has no excuse.
No matter how fucked up the world is becoming, there is one thing that should keep you optimistic. At least its not Kamala 🙄

Few Americans want to hear the truth about the U.S. They never have. What has been obvious for a very long time is simply unacceptable. That the U.S. is a ruthless, murderous, imperialistic nation built on waging war all around the world is anathema. It is the American Way, and simply can’t be admitted, for to do so would necessitate a real American revolution: i.e. A massive non-violent disconnect from the reigning political, economic, and commercial system; an abandonment of any hope in the politicians and their parties, Republican and Democratic, that serve the interests of the ultra-rich power elite who own the country. The current diabolic war against Iran serves the interests of Israel that Trump serves. The facts have long been evident, from Hiroshima through Vietnam and September 11, 2001 and Iraq and Gaza to Iran, etc. Only the willfully blind still cling to their illusions. What do they think the 750 + U.S. military bases all around the world, supported by a bi-partisan consensus, are for? For prayer services to God to Bless America as it launches wars, assassinations, and coups?

It comes as much relief that these closures have ceased. As anyone who has been here long enough should know, it was most certainly not the alleged 'flu' (or whatever) may have lead to this, but that someone decided to close public areas. And not that I truly thought this was the start of something bigger, I also couldn't rule it out. Plus being within minutes from my house, it hit a bit differently than if I had read about it happening somewhere distant.
