This will be a long one friends. Courage. What exactly is that? Not the dictionary version, what is real courage? It's not a lack of fear; it's the strength of soul and will to take action, despite one's fear, in defense of the values one holds most dear. It is not merely action by itself; a coward running away is taking action. In recent weeks, and bear with me on this one, the Ayatollah Khamenei was asked multiple times why he didn't hide or flee. He typically answered saying, if you can get all Iranians to hide or flee, I will be the last to leave. If you cannot, I will not leave my people. He believed his calling, he believed in his God, and whether you agree or not, I will say it's not yours to judge. He stayed in his place until the end, defending his values by taking every action he could to keep them safe. Now let's just think for a moment, as part of Iran's response on Day 3 today was to hit the PM's office in Israel in retaliation, and yet in stark contrast to the courage shown in Tehran it appears a coward had fled the scene beforehand (latest rumor, off to Berlin, laving 'his people' to fend for themselves). I think back to the legends of courage, the David's against the Goliaths, Jesus against the moneychangers,even though in many cases, the Davids lost and we all know Christ was assassinated. It didn't mean the Davids were wrong, but it did mean they stood solid in their integrity and their convictions. They did not run. i honor the courage of the men and women in the armed forces of any nation who are committed to the defense of those they love; repeat, IN DEFENSE of those they love. A motherfucker than leaves his people in fear due to his own actions to start the death and destruction is a POS. This is not about Israel v. Iran...it's about courage versus evil. Let me clear, as I sign off. I DGAF if you disagree. Indiscriminate killing has no excuse.
