He shows us what true kingship looks like — and in doing so, exposes the lie that any of us are qualified to wield coercive power over others. The state, with all its pomp and promises, only ever enslaves. But Christ sets us free.

Well, the very next day the universe handed me a fine example of how that is NOT the case. And those who do think that absolutely EVERYTHING is controlled by those in power, and everything that happens is what they wanted to happen, both don't actually understand the game, and are inadvertently HELPING the ruling class to make the human livestock feel hopeless and helpless. No, not everything is under their control.
