Kirk Cameron says “the more that I’ve studied church history” and “the scriptures,” “it’s pretty safe to say that I’ve left behind ‘Left Behind.’” The host agrees that “there are things that matter so much more than our views on eschatology,” but argues end-times beliefs can still matter because they can shape how people “craft policy,” including U.S. “foreign policy toward Israel,” depending on “dispensationalism or not.” Cameron says he “never even connected the dots” that a popular end-times story—“a book… a movie… a fiction book”—can still influence what people assume “that’s really going to happen because that’s what the Bible says.” He points to Israel “involved in wars” and the U.S. being “tied in… militarily and financially,” warning these views could help drive real decisions that “result in… people going to war.” He adds this isn’t “conspiracy tin foil hat stuff,” calling it “real” and saying “we’ve got to think through these things.”

Last week I thought I was having a mini stroke (TIA) as I suddenly became quite confused, dizzy, painful headache, slurring my words etc. I went to hospital, was scanned and have been given the all-clear. They think it was potentially a very severe migraine that came out of nowhere. So now I just need to monitor that to see if it persists again. Fun times.
