틱톡이 실제로 여론조작의 장으로 이용된게 입증된 근거라며 미국의 틱톡 금지론이 재점화될 동기를 만들어줄 수 있다는 생각도 들고요, 또 정치적으로 혼란 증가중인 국가에는 혼란을 키울 동기로도 충분히 작용할 수 있을 듯.

B2B 대기업 말아먹기도 참 재능이라면 재능인데... 부채에 의존한 무리한 인수합병과 사들인 기업간 통합 노력이 부족했다는 평가입니다.

역사는 프랑스의 정보기술(IT) 기업 아토스를 알스톰(중공업 기업), 알카텔(통신장비 기업)과 동렬에 놓을까. 알스톰과 알카텔은 한때 프랑스 선두 기업으로 이름을 날리다가 잘못된 경영전략으로 빠르게 해체되거나 사라졌다. 아토스 역시 2020년까지만 해도 IT 업계에서 ‘조용한 거인’이란 평가를 받는 프랑스 기술의 정수였다. 그랬던 회사가 오늘날 바닥 신세를 면치 못하고 있다. 법인 분할이 예고됐다. 일부 계열사의 앞날을 우려하는 목소리가 나온다. 국가주권이 걸린 정보를 다루는 계열사는 그룹 분할에 더 민감하다.

아토스그룹 기술이 뻗치지 않은 데가 없는 형편이다. 문제는 그룹의 막대한 부채다. 브르통은 인수·합병(M&A) 전략을 성장 지렛대로 삼았다. 한 업계 전문가는 “아토스그룹은 인수·합병으로 만들어진 회사다. 이 회사는 오래전부터 유기적 성장에 문제가 있었다. 회사는 외형을 키우면서 이 문제를 회피해왔다”고 분석했다. 회사가 성장하는 방식은 두 가지다. 하나는 제품이나 서비스를 많이 파는 것(유기적 성장)이고, 다른 하나는 다른 회사를 인수·합병해서(비유기적 성장) 총매출액을 늘리는 것이다.
