MILAN, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Italy's Prysmian said on Thursday its core profit would increase by around 34% by 2027 as the world's largest cable maker seeks to benefit from global trends of energy transition and digital transformation.

Presenting its first ever strategic plan, Prysmian said it saw its adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) at around 2 billion euros ($2.1 billion) in 2027, from a 1.49 billion euro result last year.
