🇷🇺🇮🇳 On January 12, on the National Youth Day of India coincided with the birthday of the Indian philosopher and public figure Swami Vivekananda, diplomats of the Russian Embassy in India took part in the conference "India-Russia Youth Dialogue".

🟣 The event was organized by India's National Preparatory Committee for the World Youth Festival jointly with the NSS NSUT Cell.

👥 More than 500 representatives of the two countries joined the dialogue in person and online, including Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Government — Minister of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ruslan Khabibov, Head of the International Department of the Organizing Committee of the World Youth Festival in Sochi Yulia Motyakina, Programme Coordinator, NSS NSUT Cell, Dr Praveen Saroha, State Head, NPC Delhi, Anuj Phalswal and other officials.

🤝 In their addresses, the speakers underscored the long-standing friendly nature of Russia-India ties, as well as expressed their readiness to promote the development of youth contacts, academic and scientific exchanges.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On January 13, Thalassery, Kannur District, Kerala, hosted the Day of Russia.

🟣 The festival's programme included a seminar highlighting Russian literature, an announcement of free Russian language online classes, an exhibition of paintings by Russian artist Larisa Prasolova, screenings of Russian films, and a live painting session by artists from North Kerala.

👥 The event jointly organized by the Russian House in Trivandrum and the Kerala School of Arts was inaugurated by Vice Chairman of Thalassery Municipality M.V.Jayarajan.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 A delegation of cadets from Russia arrived in India for an international meeting on the occasion of the Republic Day celebrated on January 26.

👥 It is attended by representatives of 18 countries, while Russia is represented by 10 students of the Kyzyl Presidential Cadet School of the Ministry of Defence.

🟣 The programme of the event includes meetings with representatives of India's Defence Ministry, acquaintance of guests with the main sights of Delhi and Agra, including Taj Mahal, visits to museums, yoga classes.

🤝 The trip will last till January 30. The first such tour took place in January 2023, after which students of India's National Cadet Corps visited Russia.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On January 24, Minister Counsellor & DCM of the Russian Embassy in India Roman Babushkin addressed the opening of the international conference “Russian Language, Literature, Translation and Culture in the 21st Century: Reassessment and Prospects”.

🤝 The diplomat gave a high assessment of the contribution of Indian scholars of Russian studies to the promotion of the Russian language in India and welcomed Russia’s active participation in the forum. He noted the growing importance of interaction in this area, which correlates with the growing momentum of bilateral trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the emerging prospects in such spheres as labor migration.

👥 The event will last January 23-24, and is attended by representatives of academic circles from Russia and India.

☝🏻 During the event, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dr Eugenia Vanina delivered a lecture on the caste system of India. She spoke in detail about the history of its origin, and highlighted its distinctive features.

🟣 The programme of the event included a screening of the film about the MSU and a distribution of commemorative certificates to the University’s alumni. It concluded with the presentation of the Youth Club of the Russian House in New Delhi.
