#Zakharova: On December 6, Sergey #Lavrov and Defence Minister Sergey #Shoigu will meet with their Indian colleagues Dr S.Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. 🇷🇺🇮🇳 They will discuss key regional and international matters, including in the Asia-Pacific.

Today, Russian Foreign Minister #Lavrov will take part in the 18th Foreign Ministers meeting of the #RIC format, which will be chaired by India and held via videoconference.

The Ministers will discuss strengthening multilateral foundations of the modern world order, including in the context of interaction of the three countries in international and regional organizations, primarily the #UN, #G20, #SCO and #BRICS.

Particular attention will be paid to consolidating efforts to combat further spread of #COVID19 and searching ways to enter a stable trajectory of the post-pandemic recovery.

An exchange of views will take place on such topical issues as ensuring global strategic stability, countering challenges and threats to security, as well as the situation in Afghanistan, Myanmar and the Middle East.

#Putin: There will be a visit to India next week. During negotiations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will outline new large-scale initiatives on further development of the special and privileged Russian-Indian relations, #Russia’n-#India’n strategic partnership.

This partnership brings real mutual benefits to both states. The bilateral trade is showing good dynamics, our ties in the spheres of energy, innovation, space and the production of anti-COVID-19 vaccines and medicines are actively developing. Extensive cooperation in the defense sector, including through launching of joint ventures, is maintained as well.
