โ˜๐Ÿป The diplomat elaborated on the conceptual framework of the Russian foreign policy in a time of drastic changes in global affairs and various aspects of the multifaceted Russian-Indian strategic partnership.

๐Ÿ’ฌ The meeting concluded with a lively discussion that included Q&A session.

๐Ÿฉฐ On April 25, the Russian House in New Delhi hosted the annual concert of the cultural centreโ€™s Russian Ballet School.

โ˜๐Ÿป The audience was addressed by DCM & Minister Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Roman Babushkin and Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Elena Remizova who underscored the significance of organising such events for further strengthening of the two countriesโ€™ cultural dialogue.

Young artists from the dance studio took to the stage under the guidance of professional choreographer, former soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Galina Vishnyakova.

๐Ÿ˜ Their performance of ballet numbers from classical productions by Pyotr Tchaikovsky became a real highlight of the evening. Graceful movements and impeccable technique immersed the audience in a magical atmosphere, reminding them of the eternal beauty of the Russian ballet.

Complementing the dance programme, at the foyer of the Russian House, a photo exhibition provided by the Russian National Museum of Music and dedicated to the life and creative path of Tchaikovsky was opened.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ On May 2, during her working visit to India, Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova had a meeting with Indian Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw.

๐ŸŽฌ The parties discussed the bilateral cooperation in cinematography, as well as the establishment of the Eurasian Academy of Cinematographic Arts and the Open Eurasian Film Award "Diamond Butterfly". More than 20 countries, including India, have already joined the initiative.

๐Ÿค Filmmakers from Russia and India are engaged in a fruitful dialogue, sharing their experiences. Exchange festivals of national cinema are regularly held in different cities. Joint filmmaking is developing โ€” the Russian-Indian movie "Pearl", whose shooting took place in India in 2024, is under production.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Olga Lyubimova also took part in the Global Media Dialogue as part of the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit 2025 (WAVES 2025) in Mumbai, during which she elaborated on the specifics of Russian film production.

๐Ÿ’ฌ They discussed topical issues of the Russian-Indian cooperation, as well as the aggravation of Indian-Pakistani relations following the terrorist attack near Pahalgam.

โ˜๐Ÿป Sergey Lavrov called for the settlement of disagreements between New Delhi and Islamabad by political and diplomatic means on a bilateral basis in accordance with the provisions of the Simla Agreement of 1972 and the Lahore Declaration of 1999.

๐Ÿค๐Ÿป The Ministers also discussed the schedule of upcoming contacts at the highest and high levels.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ On May 5, Russiaโ€™s President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Indiaโ€™s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Vladimir Putin once again extended his sincere condolences over the death of Indian citizens as a result of the barbaric terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Both sides underscored the need for an uncompromising fight against terrorism in all its manifestations.

๐Ÿค๐Ÿป During the conversation, the parties underlined the strategic nature of Russian-Indian relations of the special and privileged partnership, which are not subject to external influence and continue to develop dynamically in all areas.

Narendra Modi congratulated Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia on the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It was pointed out that the Victory Day is a common holiday. An Indian representative will attend the solemn celebrations in Moscow.

The Indian leader reaffirmed his invitation to the Russian President to visit India for the traditional annual bilateral summit, which was accepted with gratitude.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ On May 7, on the occasion of the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov took part in the opening of a memorial plaque at the Russian House in New Delhi in recognition of the Indian soldiers awarded Soviet orders and medals.

โ˜๐Ÿป Denis Alipov underscored the sacred nature of May 9, Victory Day, for the people of Russia โ€” a day of remembrance, mourning and pride, which marked not only the end of a brutal war, but the triumph of humanity over Nazi tyranny. The Ambassador also pointed out the contribution to the defeat of the Axis countries made by Indian soldiers and officers who fought alongside the Allies.

โญ Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Elena Remizova and son of Bijayananda Patnaik, one of the awarded Indian citizens, Member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly Naveen Patnaik also addressed the audience with welcoming remarks.

๐ŸŽต The programme of the event continued with a thematic concert of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy and the theatrical production โ€œVasily Terkinโ€.

๐Ÿ–ผ The foyer of the Russian House hosted several exhibitions dedicated to the main stages of the Great Patriotic War and World War II, as well as a field kitchen.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ On May 6, at the Russian House in New Delhi, DCM & Minister Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Roman Babushkin took part in the opening of the exhibition โ€œWeapons of Victoryโ€ dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

โ˜๐Ÿป In his address at a round table on Russia-India defence and space cooperation as part of the event, the diplomat drew attention to the close correlation between the bilateral strategic partnership, shared history and common aspirations for just and equal multipolarity.

Referring to the conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 5, he stressed the importance of joining hands in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The discussion was attended by Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Elena Remizova (as a moderator), Air & Naval Attache of the Embassy Col Sergey Kharchenko, as well as several dozen specilized experts from the two countries.

โญ The exhibition prepared with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, Rosoboronexport and the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation included scale models of modern types of Russian military equipment and of products of the joint Russian-Indian venture BrahMos Aerospace, as well as a large number of photographs. It will remain open at the Russian House for a year.
