📝 The modern holiday was established by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy in 1995, but the date is no coincidence: 319 years ago, on November 27, 1705, Russian Tsar Peter the Great issued a decree on the creation of a "regiment of marine soldiers" in Russia.
