โ๏ธ The Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large on the Kiev Regime's War Crimes Rodion Miroshnik continues to meticulously record the most heinous crimes of the Kiev regime.
๐ Another digest focuses on the war crimes and terrorist acts of the Kiev regime in the Kursk Oblast.
On the night of August 5-6, AFU militants opened a massive mixed fire on the Kursk Oblast using aviation, UAVs, precision attack missiles, rocket and cannon artillery. <...> At about 6 a.m., the first units of Ukrainian militants crossed the state border of the Russian Federation at several sections and subsequently entered a number of towns and settlements.
โ The attacks were launched deliberately, in blatant disregard for international humanitarian law (IHL). From the outset of the foray, private houses and residential buildings, healthcare and education institutions, premises of local authorities and social institutions were hit.
On 6-10 August, AFU militants expanded their presence in the Kursk Oblast and deployed additional forces to gain a foothold in a number of settlements in the Sudzha and Korenevo districts. The Ukrainian military's actions in these territories can be qualified as punitive.
Between August 12 and 17, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation managed to achieve a considerable stabilization in the border areas of the Kursk Oblast. By that time, the Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation had drawn the full list of Ukrainian units involved in the terrorist attack against the Kursk Oblast.
According to highly reliable reports, militants of radical nationalist units such as Nachtigall were dispatched to the Kursk Oblast. There is evidence of the presence of Polish and Canadian mercenaries as well as fighters of the so-called "Georgian Legion" on the ground.
โ๏ธ On 17 August, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation confirmed that the seizure and damage of radiation hazard facilities forming part of the Kursk NPP had been one of the objectives of the AFU terrorist attack against the Kursk Oblast. The official regional authorities reported attempted strikes on the Kursk NPP with Tochka U missiles and combat fixed-wing UAVs as well as
MLRS systems.
Noteworthy is the fact that most AFU units involved in the foray into the territory of the Kursk Oblast, used intelligence obtained by Kiev from its "Western partners" and were equipped with NATO hardware and means of communication, while the soldiers used Western-model small arms.
โช๏ธ According to the operations headquarters in the Kursk Oblast, as of the evening of 5 September, 31 people were killed and 236 civilians including 11 children were wounded in the AFU attacks.
During their foray, Ukrainian militants committed a number of war crimes against the civilian population of the attacked Russian border territories, including:
โข the killing and wounding of civilians,
โข violence, including sexual violence, against civilians,
โข taking hostages and using civilians as human shields,
โข looting and destroying private property in the captured territories,
โข obstructing evacuation.

โก๏ธ Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrovโs interview for a documentary titled "The UN from the 20th to the 21st Century" (Moscow, September 25, 2024)
Key points:
โข Less than a year after the victorious powers established the UN based on the noble principles formulated in its charter, it became clear that the West, acting contrary to these principles, intended to launch a war against the Soviet Union, and not merely a cold war but an all-out war. These plans hatched by the then "Anglo-Saxons" [nations of the Anglosphere led by the US & UK] have long become public knowledge.
โข Once NATO was created, the Soviet Union circulated a large document which demonstrated the detrimental effect of that and the danger of building walls between the East and the West, especially in Europe, and called for respecting the #UNCharter and for working towards this. Our call was not heeded.
โ However, we kept fighting for justice and the implementation of the principle of sovereign equality of nations. Decolonisation was a bright stage and a major embodiment of that principle. The Soviet Union was the main initiator of the 1960 Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples. Following its adoption, the number of UN states increased by 80-90 members.
โข They tell us that the main goal today is to ensure the territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is a misleading interpretation of the UN Charter, where the right of nations to self-determination is put before territorial integrity.
โข Even before demanding respect for territorial integrity, the UN Charter demands respect for human rights without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion <โฆ> Now that Zelenskyโs Nazi regime, which the West nurtured, has banned both the language and religious rights of a large number of its own population, the West has put away the banners it was waving for decades.
โ๏ธThe top priority now is to ensure the achievement of the initial goals and principles of the UN Charter in their entirety and as a whole, rather than selectively or occasionally.
โข The reform of the UN Security Council is not a one-off event. Itโs a process which has been ongoing since the time the United Nations came into being <...> Nevertheless, it relies on principles that must be preserved at all costs. The main principle is that the Security Council reform should be based on a broad-based agreement among states. It does not say โconsensus,โ but it does state โbroad-based agreement among states.โ
๐ ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ง๐ท We have invariably supported the legitimate aspirations of India and Brazil to secure permanent seats in the Security Council. However, African aspirations must be met as well. Africa has common collective positions, which we respect. And we would have like that.
โข Our position implies providing additional seats for Asia, Africa, and Latin America. We are open to some of these seats being permanent, but we need to achieve general agreement before we can move forward. It is a complicated process. I donโt see any chance for bringing this process to a swift and expedited completion any time soon.
โข Since the UN was created, there has never been a time, a region, or a situation that involved the United States in one way or another, where the country would actually respect that principle. Every time, everywhere they acted as a hegemon, or like a "bull in a china shop".
โข When they wanted to punish Russia, the West abandoned all the principles which it was feeding to us and which it declared sacred. The same is happening to the principles of the UN Charter. The West is trampling and destroying them without a momentโs hesitation.
