🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 On August 21, a delegation from St. Petersburg headed by Sergey Markov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations, arrived in New Delhi to participate in events and meetings with Indian counterparts to discuss current issues of cooperation.

🟣 A meeting was held with Evgeny Griva, Deputy Trade Representative of Russia in India, during which the following prospects were discussed:

🟣 Opening of direct flights between St. Petersburg and New Delhi,
🟣 Recruitment of labour resources from India,
🟣 Organising joint activities in the IT sector, including through BRICS,
🟣 Hosting an international congress on cyber security in India and many other issues.

⚡️ On August 22, Sergey Markov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, spoke at the official opening ceremony of the Tenth International SME Forum in New Delhi.

⚡️ In his report he highlighted the main areas of co-operation between the North-West Federal District and India.

⚡️ During the ensuing discussion, the government representative answered questions from the audience. The participants were interested in the possibilities of presenting local products at international exhibitions scheduled to be held in Russia, as well as in the prospects of optimising logistics chains between the district and India.

⚡️ On August 23, St. Petersburg delegation took part in the second day of the 10th International SME Forum in New Delhi.

⚡️ Within the framework of the plenary session "Prospects and Challenges" Dmitriy Prozherin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovations and Trade of St. Petersburg, made a presentation of trade and economic potential of St. Petersburg enterprises and possibilities of interaction with Indian counterparts.

⚡️ The members of the delegation familiarized themselves with the forum exhibition and held a series of negotiations with representatives of Indian business circles who showed interest in joint projects.
