🤝 In addition to meetings with representatives of local authorities and businesses, he took part in a round table themed "The language of communication of Afanasy Nikitin with the population and rulers during his journey" at the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies of the Kazan Federal University (KFU).

🤔 The participants of the event underscored the need to promote Indology and the Hindi language at the KFU and expressed their intention to cooperate in this matter.

🇷🇺🌊🌊🌊🇮🇳 On September 16, Ratheesh Nair, Honorary Consul of Russia in Trivandrum, visited Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 within his “Voyage@555” project dedicated to the 555th anniversary of Afanasy Nikitin's journey.

⚡️ The visit started with a meeting with Minister Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in Baku Petr Volokovykh. The role of Afanasy Nikitin's legacy in the development of the International North-South Transport Corridor was discussed.

🇷🇺 Honorary Consul also got acquainted with the Russkiy Mir (Russian World) Cabinet at the Azerbaijan University of Languages.

📆 Along the route, Ratheesh Nair is further scheduled to visit Iran 🇮🇷 and Oman 🇴🇲. His journey will last till October 12.

🇷🇺🌊🌊🌊🇮🇳 On September 23, the second stage of the "Voyage@555" project, dedicated to the journey of the Honorary Consul of Russia in Trivandrum Ratheesh Nair along the route of Russian merchant Afanasy Nikitin, during which he visited Azerbaijan, came to an end.

🟣During his 6-day stay in Baku, Ratheesh Nair held a number of meetings with diplomats and linguists.

🏥 Together with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences of Kerala Mohanan Kunnummal, prospects for cooperation were discussed at a meeting with representatives of the Baku branch of the First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University).

🗺 Following the route of the famous merchant of the 15th century, Ratheesh Nair visited Lerik, Lankaran and Shamakhi, where he talked with local historians.

🇷🇺🌊🌊🌊🇮🇳 On October 1, Honorary Consul of Russia in Trivandrum Ratheesh Nair, as part of the “Voyage@555” project, arrived in Khambhat, a famous Indian port city of the 15th century.

🟣There, exactly 555 years ago, the Indian leg of Russian traveller and merchant Afanasy Nikitin's journey began.

🤝 Ratheesh Nair visited the Gujarat University, where he held talks with its Vice Chancellor Dr Neerja A Gupta. The prospects of opening a Russian language course at the university and a Hindi language course at the Astrakhan State University were discussed.

📝 An essay competition on the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the influence of Russian writers on Gujarat authors has been announced in local universities. The best works will be published in a collection of articles prepared by the Honorary Consul.

The Governor noted that such projects will contribute to tourism promotiong and strengthening of people-to-people ties.
