🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 17-21, the Department of Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies of the Delhi University hosted the film festival "Little Europe 2025. Reflection of Village Life in Cinema".

📹 The event featured the best films on the topic of life in rural areas, but the centre of attention was the screening of the Soviet comedy-drama "Love and Doves" (1984) held on February 19 that was followed by a lively discussion with the participation of Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy in India Ekaterina Lazareva.

💬 Students studying the Russian language noted the interesting features of the dialects in the city and rural areas, appreciated the subtlety of the depiction of the life of the Russian hinterland, as well as the outstanding acting of Alexander Mikhailov, Lyudmila Gurchenko and Nina Doroshina.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 20, Igor Ten, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India, and Anna Benediktova, Representative of the Russian Export Center in India, addressed the seminar "Incoterms: International Contract and Logistics" hosted by the ICC India and dedicated to new logistics routes of Russia, in which India plays one of the key roles.

💬 The Russian participants delivered reports on the existing transport corridors between the two countries, regulatory mechanisms for promotion of the bilateral trade, as well as the specifics of the business environment in India.

🤝 Following the event, the secretariat of the ICC India will work on organizing a business mission to India with an emphasis on transport and logistics, insurance and financial issues.

🎭 On February 23, at the India Habitat Centre, the actors of the street puppet theatre "Magic Hat" from Korolev, Moscow Region, Maria and Dmitry Orlov presented their show as part of the annual International Puppet Theater Festival Ishara in New Delhi.

👏 The funny and touching sketches by the talented art duo from Russia captivated both children and adults alike. The audience eagerly engaged with the performers, asking about the process of creating puppets and teaching the art of puppetry.

🔹 The performances of the "Magic Hat" duo will continue in schools across the capital and in Chandigarh.

📖 On February 24, the Bharati College, Delhi University, hosted a opening of the international scientific conference "The Concept of Motherland in Hindi & Russian Literature".

🇷🇺🇮🇳 The event brought together Russian and Indian researchers to discuss the cultural, emotional and philosophical connections that shape the understanding of the Motherland in various literary landscapes.

👥 The Russian delegation led by Director of the Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dr Vadim Polonsky included representatives of the State Museum of Oriental Art, the Roerich Museum, the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate, the Paustovsky Museum, the Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Leo Tolstoy Museum (Kazan).

💬 In her welcoming address to the conference, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Yulia Aryaeva underscored the importance of a cross-cultural approach in studying national identity and patriotism in a rapidly changing world.

🖼 An art exhibition prepared by the Roerich Museum with the support of the Embassy in New Delhi was opened on the sidelines of the forum. The inauguration ceremony ended with a joint concert.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 25, the Bharati College, Delhi University, hosted a vibrant celebration of Maslenitsa, the traditional Russian Spring Festival, organized by the Alexander Kadakin School of the Russian Embassy in India.

🔹 The event provided a unique cultural experience and showcased the richness of Russian traditions.

👥 The Indian students took part in various traditional Maslenitsa games, including pillow fights, strength and agility contests, enjoyed dancing in a khorovod and joined the lively activities, bringing a festive and joyful atmosphere to the day.

🎉 The festival's programme included performances by two cultural groups: the "Makov Tsvet" ensemble that performed a song dedicated to the holiday of Maslenitsa and the "Kalinka" group that showcased a traditional Russian dance.

🔥 The celebration concluded with the burning of a symbolic "Maslenitsa" effigy, which marked the end of the winter season and the arrival of spring.

🥞 The event also featured an array of delicious Russian dishes, with students savoring iconic treats like blini (Russian pancakes) and apple pies, bringing a taste of Russia to the heart of Delhi.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 27, the School of International Studies (SIS) at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi hosted an expert dialogue "Ganga to Volga: Flow of Great Civilizations to Enhance Cooperation for Traditions, Education, Culture & Economy".

🔹 The event was organized by the Center for Russian and Central Asian Studies, SIS, JNU, with the support of the Russia-India Friendship Forum. Its key topics of discussion included the current state and prospects for the development of the Russian-Indian relations.

👥 Among the participants were prominent political scientists and economists from both countries, including Deputy State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Prof Sergey Glazyev, RUDN University Professor & Co-chairman of the Society for the Development of Cultural and Business Ties with India Dr Vladimir Akinfiev, Director of the Institute for Economic Strategies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Prof Alexander Ageev, as well as other representatives of the academic and expert community. Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy in India Ekaterina Lazareva delivered a welcome address to the forum's audience.

💬 During the event, a thorough exchange of views took place on the political, economic and cultural-historical aspects of bilateral cooperation.
