🇷🇺 August 12 - Russian Air Force Day

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳On this day, we invite our readers to remember the joint Russian-Indian exercises in 2017 at the Tsentralnaya Uglovaya airfield (Primorsky Krai).

🟣They were special because it was the first time that mixed Russian-Indian crews flew on Russian aircraft.

🟣Indian pilots served as second pilots on Su-30M2, An-26, and Mi-8AMTSh aircraft.

🟣14 joint crews performed tasks in aerial reconnaissance, landing operations, and engaging simulated targets.

🟣The flights were part of the international exercise "Indra-2017," which became an important step in strengthening military cooperation between Russia and India, demonstrating a high level of interaction and trust between two countries.

📑 The "Indra" exercises are held every two years, with the latest taking place in 2023 in the Bay of Bengal with the participation of naval ships from both countries. This time, pilots showcased their skills over water: the crew of an Indian Navy helicopter landed on the deck of a Russian Navy ship. Russian pilots, in turn, practiced landing approaches on an Indian destroyer.

🌍 On August 9th, the Global Youth Federation India celebrated International Youth Day 2024 in collaboration with Post Graduate Government College in Chandigarh.

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Rama Arora, who launched the magazine “Russia Digest (Friendship)”. She praised the Russian government for their ongoing efforts to foster strong relations with India and for providing valuable opportunities to the youth.

🟣The event, successfully organized under the supervision of Mr. Rohit Kumar, Director of Global Youth Federation India and еnvoy of the #WeAreTogether International Prize Russia for India, saw the enthusiastic participation of over 100 youth people!

🇷🇺 🇮🇳 On August 12, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov addressed the BRICS Young Leaders' Summit in New Delhi organised by the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

💬 He congratulated the participants on the International Youth Day and elaborated on the priorities of the Russian BRICS Chairmanship, including in the context of preparation for the upcoming XVI BRICS Summit in Kazan to be held on October 22-24.

🙋🙋‍♀️ Following his remarks, Denis Alipov answered the students' questions on Russian-Indian cooperation both bilaterally and within BRICS.
