#Zakharova: After 3️⃣ months of the special military operation in #Ukraine, almost all territory of #Lugansk, a considerable part of #Donetsk, the entire Kherson Region and big parts of the Kharkov and Zaporozhye regions have been liberated ➡️ https://tinyurl.com/5n7xew49

▫️Peaceful life is being restored on the territories freed from the neo-Nazis. People are restoring the economy and industry, building infrastructure, launching enterprises, and opening schools, kindergartens, outpatient clinics and hospitals.

▫️ On May 24, 2022, Russian sappers demined the port of #Mariupol. Specialists from the Black Sea Fleet removed a Ukrainian border patrol ship sunk by the #Azov battalion from the waterway, which allowed five foreign vessels to ship out.

▫️ On May 20, 2,439 Ukrainian nationalists from Azovstal plant laid down arms & were taken prisoner. All of them are in Donetsk. Wounded were put for in-patient treatment into a hospital. The rest are in the pre-trial detention centre. Their crimes will not go unpunished.

▫️ #Russia continues delivery of humanitarian aid to Lugansk, Donetsk & Ukraine’s liberated areas, which have already received almost 22,000 tonnes of it. Every day Russian Defence Ministry announces the opening of safe corridors for safe evacuation of civilians both eastward & westward.

▫️ #US & its NATO allies are doing all they can to drag out the special military operation & make the confrontation as bloody as possible. Over 30 states – mostly the #NATO countries – are supplying #Ukraine with military aid worth tens of billions of USD

▫️ Number of foreign mercenaries in #Ukraine is growing. Eventually, they will return to their countries (if they are lucky) and use the military experience gained at the battle field. This has always been the case.
❗️❗️Read the extracts from the statement of Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE Alexander Volgarev “To the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture”, (meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, 7 July 2022):

📣Torture and other inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment is one of the most serious types of human rights violations. The sad and dishonorable leadership in this matter continues to be maintained by #US

🔸In #US "secret prisons", such "enhanced interrogation methods" as "imitation of drowning", forced stripping naked, preventing sleep, and so on were used against detainees. Similar methods are used against the prisoners of the notoriously known prison in Guantanamo

🔸Our compatriots, being in the hands of American justice, most often fraudulently through third countries, are also subjected to inhumane treatment. Without explaining the reasons, they are placed in a punishment cells, denied medical care and necessary medicines

🔺The situation in Ukraine is of particular concern. Arbitrary arrests, incommunicado detention, torture and ill-treatment of civilians have persisted there over the past eight years

🔺The perpetrators responsible for the violence on 2 May 2014 in the Odessa House of Trade Unions, where people were burned alive in front of law enforcement officials, are still unpunished

🔴Horrible, chilling footage and videos, which picture torture and murder of detained Russian soldiers in Ukraine, have been seen by the whole world. While there are no evidence to the contrary. Apart from empty words about some „credible” testimonies
Media is too big

Select quotes:

Hypocrisy and duplicity have become an intrinsic part of Western diplomacy.

• Figures graphically prove that the West is striving to make as much money as possible from the conflict in Ukraine. Last year, its national debt increased by $13 billion to $111 billion. Even the most advanced country with a prosperous economy and industry and rapid growth rates would not be able to pay off $111 billion. For today’s Ukraine this amount is an excuse to take everything that remains of the Zelensky rule.

• The Ukrainian authorities have once again confirmed that they fraudulently deceived the world community and were not really going to fulfil their obligations under the Minsk Package of Measures as endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2202.

• The Ukrainian heirs to Nazi organisations have once again demonstrated their desire to continue the cause of their “heroes,” who are knee deep in the blood of thousands of Ukrainians, Russians, Jews, Poles and people of other ethnicities.

• By imposing new unilateral restrictions that undermine the international legal prerogatives of the UN Security Council, the European Union has once again demonstrated double standards, ignored the presumption of innocence principle and presented no evidence, while hypocritically hushing up the obvious offences committed by Ukrainian militants in Donbass and in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of the Russian Federation.

• Despite the continuous scheming against Russian culture and our outstanding performers in some Western countries, including the cancellation of exhibitions and concerts, arbitrary declaration of world-renowned Russian artists and poets Ukrainians, passion for Russian culture in its modern and historical dimension does not subside in the world.

• The United States has once again defiantly denied visas to several members of the Russian interdepartmental delegation without any reason. Creating obstacles to the participation of our delegation in the session of the UN OEWG amounts to undermining the principle of the sovereign equality of states, which is a fundamental provision of the UN Charter.

• When we began hearing statements about Europe “needing” to abandon Russian hydrocarbons, it was clear that the United States was behind this. They didn’t make a secret of it.

• A possible military operation in Haiti planned by the United States and its allies are aimed not so much at stabilising – as declared – the security situation in Haiti as at mopping up the political landscape in the interests of certain leaders who have received a “wholesale indulgence” and a “right to power” from their western patrons.

• We are building our relations with Serbia on an age-old foundation of friendship and spiritual affinity between the peoples of the two countries and with account taken of the economic benefit. Cooperation with our Serbian partners is not directed against third countries. It strengthens security and serves the goals of development.

Russia Remembers Child Victims of Ukraine's Bloody War in Donbass

🙏 🇷🇺 On July 27, Donbass remembers the children lost in the violent war that began in 2014. Almost 200 children have been killed and many more injured, some by banned explosive mines.

The Ukrainian military has targeted schools, kindergartens, and medical facilities. The #US and its allies are supplying weapons that harm civilians, including children.

The Russian military is conducting a special operation to protect children in Donbass and across Russia from the Kiev regime's attacks.

▪️ I often talk about this, but today I will show you several fragments of NATO munitions we have received from the Defence Ministry of Russia. These horrible “postcards” are designed for those in the EU and NATO countries who believe that their taxes and free donations serve the cause of peace. Look at them. There’s children’s blood on them, the blood of innocent civilians. These munitions were bought, produced and transported with the money of people in the EU countries who talk about peace every day and believe that this is important. Is the EU paying for this kind of peace? Is this the peace that EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell regards as ideal? Is this the peace the Western NGOs and media organisations are talking about?

#US

▪️ On August 24, the Global Engagement Centre at the US Department of State published a bulletin, The Kremlin’s War Against Ukraine’s Children, which contains a streak of absurd accusations against Russia relating to the issue of children. This is not just a piece of rampant misinformation distorting facts; it is in fact a terrible Goebbels-style fake narrative. Russia has never hidden what it has been doing in the interests of Ukrainian children who ended up in our territory. On behalf of President Vladimir Putin, most of the work in this area is being carried out by Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, who regularly reports to the public, including the international community, on the situation regarding children evacuated from the war zone.

• This far-fetched effort to support the Russian language scared neo-Nazi MPs to the extent that they drafted an even harsher law targeting the Russian language, and the Verkhovna Rada approved it on December 8, 2023. Vladimir Zelensky signed it the same day.

They have demonstrated all this haste in their legislative efforts not because they care for ethnic minority rights so much but because of their misguided belief that this document will create a pathway for the Kiev regime to achieve its coveted goal of joining the EU.

• If the European Union does not object to the adoption of this law in Ukraine that is not only discriminatory but is designed to eliminate the mother tongue used by millions of people, and an official UN language, it will show its true face, demonstrating that it could not care less about the democratic principles, humanitarian values, fundamental rights and freedoms of ethnic minorities.

#US

• The US and its European allies have been consistently destroying the system of international security, understood as a set of treaties and institutions. They have not supported any of our substantive initiatives.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks and answers to media questions following a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine and an open debate on “The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question,” (New York, January 24, 2024)

Key talking points:

Terrorist attack by the Kiev regime on Il-76 plane
• Middle East
• Prospects of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement
• Ukraine
• Double standards of Western media
• Russia-US relations
• Nuclear security
• Korean Peninsula

💬 Sergey Lavrov: I am compelled to begin by stating yet another fact of the Kiev regime’s use of terrorist methods.

A terrorist attack was perpetrated on January 24, at 11:15 am Moscow time, resulting in the downing of a Russian Il-76 cargo plane in the Belgorod Region. The aircraft was en route from the Moscow Region to Belgorod, carrying 65 prisoners from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Three Russian officers and a crew of six people accompanied them. All of them died. The Ukrainian prisoners of war were being taken to the Belgorod Region for a prisoner exchange agreed between Moscow and Kiev.

Instead, Ukraine targeted this aircraft from the Kharkov Region using surface-to-air missiles, causing a fatal strike. <...>

#US #MiddleEast

As for the present crisis, everyone seems to have a similar understanding of the consequences of US policy in the region. None of the reckless attempts Washington has engaged in over the last few decades to defend its “core security interests” ten thousand miles across the Atlantic led to a situation where people’s lives improved in a country that the US attacked.

#US #Santions

They should not assume that just because they are strong, because they have the dollar, they can use it to “strangle” others: disconnect them from the SWIFT system or deny them access to the IMF and World Bank loans at whim. The US actually invented the system and made the world accept it.

🎙 Interview of Russia's President Vladimir Putin to TV host and Rossiya Segodnya Director General Dmitry Kiselev (March 13, 2024):

Key talking points

💬 Russia is not at the crossroads. It is on the strategic path of its development and will not deviate from its path.

#MultipolarWorld

• Many people in the world are looking at us, at what is happening in our country and in our struggle for our interests. <...> They associate our struggle for our independence and true sovereignty with their aspirations for their own sovereignty and independent development.

• This is aggravated by the fact that there is a very strong desire in Western elites to freeze the current unjust state of affairs in international affairs. They've spent centuries filling their bellies with human flesh and their pockets with money. But they must realise that the vampire ball is ending.

#Ukraine

• Are we ready to negotiate? We are. But we are not ready for talks that are based on some kind of ”wishful thinking“, but we are ready for talks based on the realities that have developed on the ground.

• We are open to a serious discussion, and we are eager to resolve all conflicts by peaceful means. However, we must be sure that this is not just another pause that the enemy wants to use for rearmament, but rather a serious conversation with security guarantees for Russia.

#US #RussiaUS

• We know what it is to have American troops on Russian soil. They are interventionists. That is how we will treat them even if they appear in the territory of Ukraine.

• I have said many times that it [achieving the goals of the special military operation & resolving the conflict] is a matter of life and death for us, while for them it is a matter of improving their tactical position in the world on the whole as well as maintaining their status among their allies in Europe in particular.

#Ukraine #NATO

Ultimately, Kiev was promised an irreversible path to the alliance. I’m not sure what they have in mind when they say irreversible path. The only image this term conjures up is a road that leads to a precipice. Now, in order to make sense of what they are talking about, they have come up with another term for the irreversible path to the alliance and call it a bridge to the alliance. Truth be told, its length has yet to be determined. However, I will reveal a military secret for the Kiev regime to be aware of what it is about: it is indeed a bridge to NATO, but it’s a drawbridge any way you look at it.

#US

It is nobody’s business other than the US Department of State. But the other countries’ foreign ministries should be concerned with what President Biden said at the NATO summit. He did not speak about America’s domestic issues or the summit’s agenda but about global issues that concern absolutely all nations. The reaction of the international community, which became public knowledge several hours after Biden’s press statements, is indicative.

It was that reaction that made top news as the outcome of the NATO summit.

The US State Department and Administration probably thought that it would be seen as proof of Biden’s competence and competitiveness as a presidential candidate. But it turned out differently. They have only made matters worse, especially after President Biden called Putin the president of Ukraine and said that “Vice-President Trump” was qualified to be president.

#Armenia

Russia has never made its friends or partners choose between being “with us” and “against us.” This is contrary to our philosophy. Unlike this, the Western countries show unrestrained impudence and complete disregard for the interests and concerns of their strategic dialogue partners, present or future.

The Americans are motivated by self-interest, which is evident from their hitherto unseen active enthusiasm about looking after Armenia. The country has gone through difficult periods many times before. Why wasn’t the US showing generosity, helping, or offering Armenia opportunities?
