Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov spoke about the current developments in Russian-Indian relations in an interview to Russian media ⬇️
“India hasn’t rushed to join the West, despite all the calls and pressure exerted to denounce Russia. It did not do it for its own strategic interests” | #Ukraine
"It is a mistake to believe that India has sided with Russia. This is not the case. As far as we are concerned, we would like a more pronounced support from India. India sticks to the neutral path precisely because it pursues the policy of strategic autonomy” ➡️ https://tass.com/world/1424219
▪️The Russian Ambassador said that New Delhi’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat programs, aimed to achieve self-reliance in manufacturing, including weapons manufacturing by no means hinder Russian-Indian ties in the defense.
"India’s import substitution and self-reliance programs were launched a long time ago. Such projects as the manufacturing of Kalashnikov rifles and Ka-226 helicopters in India should be seen precisely in the context of these programs, because they envisage creation of joint ventures and transfer of technologies”, he said ➡️ https://tass.com/defense/1424203
▪️The current political situation will not influence #Russia-India cooperation in the military-technical sphere, which encompasses many joint projects, shared Denis Alipov: "The updated program for military-technical cooperation extends till 2031. There are many tracks and joint projects. I am certain that the current situation will not influence our military-technical cooperation, or will affect it only slightly” ➡️ https://tass.com/defense/1423997
▪️Russia and #India continue cooperating in production of the #SputnikV coronavirus vaccine in India, said Russian Ambassador: "Cooperation continues. This is one of the most successful and promising vaccines in use. Certainly, it is not alone here; the Indians have their own, but this area is one of the most promising and cooperation should definitely continue and ramp up” ➡️ https://tass.com/economy/1424123
▪️Russia is interested in expanding cooperation with India in hydrocarbon supplies, said Russia’s Ambassador: "India is interested in supplies of Russian oil and hydrocarbons. We are interested in expanding cooperation in this area. I think good prospects are opening up here and this cooperation will be intensified” ➡️ https://tass.com/economy/1423977
▪️"Russia, as well as India and China are the three largest nations on the Eurasian continent, and there is no other way than interaction, in this format in particular," Denis Alipov said. "This format has a great future, and in fact it reflects the reality namely the strengthening and further development of a multi-polar world” ➡️ https://tass.com/politics/1423831
