โšก๏ธ On September 26, Moscow hosted a Meeting of the Heads of #BRICS Tax Administrations. Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, stressing the importance of cooperation in taxation as well as noting the importance of unified approaches, transparent rules and digitalization for economic growth and improving the investment climate.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India was represented by the delegation led by Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance who expressed support for the idea of โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹creating a permanent BRICS secretariat and pointed out the high value of exchanging experience between the countries of the association.

๐ŸŒ The talks resulted in the signing of a framework agreement to establish the BRICS Tax Services Forum. The participants approved the concepts for the development of projects and a three-year work plan. Head of the Federal Taxation Service of Russia Daniil Egorov underscored the need to actively promote international cooperation in the work of tax services.

๐Ÿค On September 11, a tripartite meeting of representatives of the Special Secretariat of Federal Revenue of Brazil ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท, the Federal Customs Service of Russia ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs of the Ministry of Finance of India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ tookโ€ฆ
๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Following the visit of Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs of India Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, on September 28, the seaport of St Petersburg was visited by Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary (Revenue), Minister of Finance of India.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Representatives of the North-West Customs Administration and the container terminal "Gavan" briefed the Indian guests about the current situation with the supply of goods between St Petersburg and Mumbai, the peculiarities of customs clearance and port logistics, demonstrated the work of modern inspection equipment of customs authorities and technological schemes of interdepartmental coordination to accelerate the flow of goods.

๐Ÿค The parties noted the need to expand cooperation between both customs and port authorities of the two countries in view of the growing bilateral trade and economic interaction.
