⚓️ On Russia’s #NavyDay the Supreme Commander-in-Chief reviewed the Main Naval Parade held in St Petersburg and Kronstadt.

💬 President of Russia Vladimir Putin:

☝️ Peter the Great created an inseparable and everlasting link between the history of the navy and the Russian state.

❗️We set the boundaries and areas of Russia’s national interests – economic, vital and strategic – clearly and transparently.

✍️ These century-old traditions have been taken to the next level in the new Navy Regulations. I signed them today. I also approved the new Naval Doctrine of the Russian Federation.

#NavyDay is celebrated in Russia on the last Sunday of July. The first Main Naval Parade in St Petersburg took place in 1996 to mark the Russian Navy’s 300th anniversary. The tradition of holding the annual parade in the city on this day was restored by a Presidential Executive Order in 2017.
