🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 9, the Russian folk and choreographic ensemble "Echo of the Mountains" from Khasavyurt, Dagestan, took part in the opening gala concert of the annual 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2024 in Faridabad, Haryana.

🎶 The colorful and fiery dances of the peoples of the Republic were met with a long ovation from the audience.

🟣 The festival of folk crafts and art will last till February 23, participants from other regions of Russia are expected to arrive.

👥 Representatives of all Indian states and union territories, as well as more than 20 countries of the world, will demonstrate folk art items to visitors of the fair, as well as performances by folklore groups.

🖼 A tour of the permanent exhibitions presented in the museum and exhibition complex, including paintings by Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerich, took place.

☝🏻 Denis Alipov underscored the significance of Russian-Indian joint work to preserve the Roerichs’ heritage, which serves as one of the binders between the two nations.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 11, with the support of the Russian Embassy and the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India, a screening of the documentary film "From Russia With Heart" was held as part of the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC in Noida.

📹 It was presented by the scriptwriter, correspondent of the documentary broadcasting editorial office of the "RT Doc" TV channel Dmitry Khrustalev.

💬 Embassy's Spokesperson Petr Sizov addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. In his speech to students of journalism faculties of local universities, he noted the important role of such events in promoting freedom of the press, and specifically focused on violations of journalists' rights and the practice of double standards in Western countries.

🤝 The documentary was warmly received by the Indian public. The organizers of the event expressed hope for further festival cooperation with the Russian side.
