As a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus that laid out the initial framework for the legislation, It’s been deeply gratifying to see the impact of the law in our state. To date, over $13 billion has been invested in Michigan across hundreds of projects. 2/2
Today marks three years since the signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – a once-in-a-generation investment in America that is already making a difference for Michigan’s roads and bridges, water infrastructure, rural broadband access, and more. 1/2
It has been amazing to watch each group of interns grow over the past six years, and I cannot wait to see what incredible things these future leaders will do. 3/3
Make no mistake: I take signing on to bills seriously, so this project is not just for show. The interns do their due diligence researching the legislation to make sure it’s a win for Michigan that aligns with my record and convictions – because if it’s not, I won’t sign on. 2/3

A bittersweet moment this morning: receiving end-of-term pitches from my final cohort of D.C. office interns as a Representative. It’s the legislative version of “Shark Tank,” where each intern briefs a bill they believe I should co-sponsor. 1/3
November is Native American Heritage Month, an opportunity to recognize the deep history of native communities in Michigan, while celebrating and sharing their culture, knowledge, and language. See the link below for some great events happening this month:
When we send our service members into harm’s way, we make a solemn promise to take care of them when they come home. Today’s vote delivered on that promise. My bipartisan bill ensures our veterans have access to affordable, high quality care later in life.
As my team and I prepare to move out of our office at the end of the week, I wanted to take a moment to talk about my bipartisan bill to better support our senior veterans that the House passed last night.
It was good to have Rep.-elect Tom Barrett come by my congressional office today as part of the responsible transition process. I’ve been through presidential transitions before, so the team and I have been planning for a smooth transition of #MI07 for over a year. 1/2
Glad to see the ceasefire deal announced today between Israel and Hezbollah. This agreement will hopefully put an end to the violence that has taken the lives of too many on both sides of the border. I also hope this is a step toward ending the broader conflict in the region.
Across our district, our state, and our country, there is always more that unites than divides us — that’s what I’m thinking about this Thanksgiving, and that’s what I’ll always be thankful for. From my family to yours, wishing everyone a safe, delicious, and happy Thanksgiving
3/ May the memories of those we lost continue to be a blessing, and may their stories continue to inspire us to stand together in the face of violence, and to forge ahead on the necessary work to protect students and communities everywhere
2/ It ripped a hole in the heart of the community, and while Oxford continues to push forward, it’s important to recognize that every anniversary, every report, and every legal development can open fresh scars.
🧵Three years ago we lost Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, Justin Shilling, and Hana St. Juliana to senseless gun violence. Oxford was forever changed, and today my heart is with their family, friends and everyone impacted by the tragedy.

So much so that they helped me write bipartisan legislation on this issue. I’m looking forward to continuing this work from the U.S. Senate. 3/3
Ensuring that the beloved businesses on Mackinac and other seasonal enterprises have the legal, vetted seasonal workers they need during their busy season has always been an important focus of mine. 2/3
