LeBron IS NOT waiting on the WC to end, he (and the ownership groups that are courting him) are waiting on the Aspiration ruling.

If the ruling comes down and essentially says - "Look, we all know what they did, but we need absolute proof beyond proof in order to avoid a brutal court battle so we can't justify punishing them" it will have basically written the playbook on how to circumvent the cap.

Even if LeBron has already chosen Cleveland, his official NBA contract number (and the Cavs ability to build around him) will be a direct result of this ruling. Watch him take a vet min and have Dan Gilbert basically dare Adam to find proof of however he's paying LeBron under the table.

Can owners marry the players to circumvent the cap/apron?

What's stopping the Cavs from signing Lebron James and then having Dan Gilbert marry Bronny or Bryce (Lebron Sr is married) with some sort of prenup that awards them 200m if they divorce? Is this why Gilbert recently got divorced? To open up this avenue in free agency? Bryce isnt even in the NBA so does this avoid conflict of interest?

The fact is that we’ve lost millions of viewers, and the sooner we can figure out a solution to the terror basketball fans feel at seeing me looming on their television screens, the better.” Silver added that he was hoping to return the NBA to the popularity of its 1990s heyday, when basketball fans wanted to fuck David Stern’s brains out.

Even with that, his average is 55%.

One of the questions I never see asked is: what happens if he doesnt get better and Hack A Kessler basically ruins the entire LA Lakers defense?
