In Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence. Due to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life. Today I parted company with Tony Pontius who has run my record label BGP for a number of years. I wanted to release 'We Will Dance Again' but he was unequivocal and said 'I want nothing to do with this song' and I responded 'ok, we are done'.
When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. My faith in humanity will not diminish and the truth will always win.
I will release it! - Boy George StandWithUs

A kosher restaurant in Montreal, Canada, was burned to the ground in a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Saturday morning. Emergency services were called to Nöam restaurant at around 3:15 a.m. after a man was seen on video apparently starting the fire before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported, but the building suffered severe damage.
Montreal police have opened an investigation, though a motive has not yet been established. The attack comes amid a sharp rise in antisemitic incidents across Canada since October 7, 2023 - with Montreal having seen repeated attacks on Jewish institutions including shootings and firebombings.

A 30-year-old Florida man has been arrested for smashing the window of the Chabad of Downtown SRQ synagogue in Sarasota in what police are treating as an antisemitic hate crime.
Brayton Laschinger threw a brick through the window at 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning, wearing a blue towel over his head. When questioned by police, he admitted he targeted the building specifically because it was a Jewish place of worship, telling detectives he had seen "propaganda on social media and that was making him mad." He now faces a felony hate crime charge.

Fifty years ago on July 4, 1976, the IDF began the daring Operation Entebbe in which they rescued over 100 Jewish and Israeli hostages held in Uganda by PFLP terrorists. Yonatan (Yoni) Netanyahu, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's brother and one of the IDF commanders leading the mission, was the only Israeli casualty during the operation. Fifty years later, Uganda has unveiled a memorial to Yoni Netanyahu in the spot where he fell during Operation Entebbe. We remember this act of heroism and sacrifice that saved so many lives. May his memory forever be a blessing.

RT @RoyKAltman: I'm very optimistic about Israel's future in-part because of its relationship with India.
India has 1.4 billion people, the most populous nation on Earth. They have the most substantial nascent economy in the world.
They've got almost a billion people living in non-electrified communities, many of them without internet or clean water.
In all of history, if you were the leader of that country, you'd have to wait 1,000 years to fix that problem.
But Prime Minister Narendra Modi recognizes that if you pick the right technological horse, these are problems that can be fixed in the next 5-10 years.
That's what he's banking on.
And it's very telling that when everyone knew war with Iran was imminent in February, Modi visited Israel to sign 39 treaties in less than 24 hours on industrial cooperation, on AI, machine learning, quantum computing, cybersecurity.
Israel is the horse he is banking on.

On August 2, 1943, Jewish people held at the Treblinka death camp, where approximately 870,000 Jews were murdered, rose up against their Nazi captors. They seized weapons from the arsenal, set the camp ablaze, and stormed the gates.
Treblinka survivor Samuel Willenberg recalled: "It was a singular and unique day… Our only desire was to obliterate the death factory which had become our home."
Of the 840 prisoners in the camp that day, around 200 managed to escape. At most 100 survived the war. But their courage echoes forever. Never forget. 🕯️

While the world focused on conflict, Israeli, Palestinian, and Dutch scientists spent five years working side by side on something that could feed the entire region. The project was led by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in partnership with the Al-Quds Public Health Society, a Palestinian public health organization, and Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
Together, they produced a new climate-resilient wheat variety capable of maintaining yields despite rising temperatures and declining rainfall across the Middle East. The team named their new wheat line "Ufuq" - the Arabic word for "horizon." The variety still requires further testing before it can reach farmers, but researchers say the need is urgent: climate models project hotter, drier growing seasons across the Mediterranean basin for decades to come.
This is already the fourth Israeli-Palestinian research collaboration of its kind since 2012 - and it won't be the last. "Food security is a challenge that transcends borders," said lead researcher Prof. Zvi Peleg.

British pop icon Boy George is standing his ground. After releasing "We Will Dance Again" - a tribute to the victims of the Nova music festival massacre on October 7, 2023 - and stepping down from a West End role amid backlash, Boy George issued a defiant statement defending his decision to stand with the Jewish community.
"Those who deny the suffering of Israelis are given a free pass," he wrote, pushing back against accusations that he lacks compassion for Palestinians. He explained that the song was inspired by a visit to the Nova Exhibition in London, where he met the parents of British-Israeli musician Jake Marlowe, who was murdered in southern Israel on October 7, 2023. "The Nova Festival is a mirror of my world as a DJ. I could have been there." He also revealed that his record label manager walked out over the song - and that he cut ties with him immediately. "When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. The truth will always win." In a world where too many artists stay silent, Boy George chose to speak. 🎵🇮🇱

When you see reports about violence in the West Bank/Judea & Samaria, you will often need to dig deeper to fully understand what is happening on the ground.
We recently had to do this ourselves.
On July 24, a group of 60 Israelis reportedly entered a Palestinian Authority-controlled area unlawfully. To date, its unclear why they did so. They were confronted by local Palestinians, one of whom seized Benayahu Mellet's weapon and fatally shot him. IDF officer Yuval Ezra was also killed, along with the attacker and three other Palestinians, in circumstances that remain under investigation.
We know these details now, but we did not know all of them when we first shared reports about the attack. We are deeply saddened by this senseless loss of life.
While entering an area unlawfully is wrong, there is no justification for Palestinian extremists responding with murderous violence. Likewise, there is no justification for revenge attacks by Israeli extremists against Palestinian civilian property. These criminal acts do not represent Israeli society and violate both Israeli law and Jewish values. Those responsible should be investigated, prosecuted, and held fully accountable.
There is more we found that most sources will not tell you.
In 2025, there were thousands of attacks by Palestinian extremists in the region. 4,675 stone throwing, Molotov cocktail, pipe bomb, and arson/tire burning attacks against Israeli targets were recorded - most of them in the West Bank/Judea & Samaria. Israeli authorities reportedly thwarted 1,374 major attacks, including shootings, IEDs, stabbings, car rammings, suicide bombings, and kidnappings. Terrorists also managed to carry out 54 major attacks against Israelis. These facts about Palestinian extremist violence are rarely mentioned in the news or on social media.
During the same time period, the IDF reported that there were 867 attacks by Israeli extremists, 128 of which were more severe (shootings, arson, and other violent crimes).
While the majority of Israelis and many people around the world rightly condemn and demand accountability for the Israeli attacks, there is far too little pressure to end the Palestinian attacks.
Misrepresenting this issue deepens division and conflict, instead of advancing peace. Both Israelis and Palestinians deserve better.

🚨 BREAKING: A group of Israeli hikers was attacked by Palestinians near the village of Tel in Samaria (northern West Bank/Judea and Samaria) this morning. Reports indicate at least one Palestinian terrorist fired towards the group. One Israeli man in his 30s was murdered. Two others, aged 20 and 25, were wounded, one seriously, and evacuated by helicopter.
According to Israeli security sources, the attackers ambushed the hikers near a local mosque, stole the weapon of a civilian security coordinator who arrived at the scene, and used it to open fire on the group.
IDF forces flooded the area and imposed a closure on the village of Tel and several entrances to Nablus. Soldiers who arrived returned fire; Palestinian casualties are also being reported, though the number has not been confirmed.
This is the third terror attack in the West Bank/Judea and Samaria in the past 24 hours. - StandWithUs StandWithUs
