Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi (ra): How Does God Help a Revolution?
Reflect carefully on this principle:
“This country has an Owner.”
And always leave a parenthesis open for that Owner — meaning: include Him in your calculations.
Do not worry about managing what lies beyond your scope.
In matters outside your capacity, sleep peacefully.
But in what falls within your ability, lose sleep over it.
Exert yourself fully where you are responsible — and remain at ease where you are not.
Meaning:
If you support Allah in what is within your capacity, He will support you in what is beyond your capacity.
The American attack at Tabas was beyond our ability — it belonged to God’s domain, and so He sent the storm.
But it is not the case that every time we enter an operation, God will send a storm to destroy the enemy. Those situations fall within our domain. We give martyrs — and it is natural that we do.
Why?
Because God’s educational method is not to raise people to be lazy and entitled.
At the stage where you are powerless, rely on God’s power — that is correct.
But once you pass that stage and gain capability, you must use the tools available to you.
If an unseen hand had simply eliminated Saddam with a curse, where would we be today?
Nowhere. Nowhere at all.
We would not have had Qassem Soleimani.
We gained Qassem Soleimani because of pressure — because of long nights spent in war rooms, because of struggle and endurance.
The best help of God is sometimes this very form:
that He does not help you in the way you expect.
“The Best of Helpers” means:
If you can do it yourself, I will not do it for you.

Having failed to achieve a quick success – and as conflict spreads across the region and impacts the global economy – Washington and Tel Aviv are escalating their attacks on Iran’s population, as well as its civilian, cultural and economic infrastructure.
Iran’s health ministry said this week that 18,000 people have been injured. More than 200 children are among 1,300 people killed in the attacks.
We are joined in Isfahan, Iran, by Dr. Setareh Sadeqi, an assistant professor at the Faculty of World Studies at the University of Tehran and a specialist in North American studies and Iran–US relations.
