ON THE ABSURDITY OF AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF PLANET EARTH

Critics, such as J. Cohler, argue that the concept of Global Mean Surface Temperature (GMST) is physically meaningless because temperature is an intensive property that cannot be averaged across non-equilibrium systems like Earth’s atmosphere and oceans. They contend that because there is no thermodynamic principle dictating how to average these temperatures, the choice of method (e.g., arithmetic vs. geometric mean) is arbitrary, rendering GMST a statistical artifact rather than a valid physical quantity.

From a measurement perspective, calculating GMST is limited by spatial heterogeneity and data gaps. Warming is not uniform; the poles warm faster than the tropics (polar amplification) and land warms faster than the ocean, meaning the global average masks regional extremes.

Furthermore, historical records suffer from coverage gaps, particularly in the Arctic and early periods, requiring interpolation and bias corrections for instrumentation changes (e.g., ship thermometers to satellites) that introduce uncertainty.

Studies indicate that GMST accounts for less than 20% of the variance in local surface air temperature on decadal timescales, as internal variability (such as the El Niño-Southern Oscillation) and regional factors dominate local weather patterns.

In that light, government debt and gold simply look more compelling than Bitcoin. And with that, Bitcoin's crown as the ultimate hedge against US fiscal recklessness is starting to tarnish.

Here, gold holds a clear ace, without reliance on fragile tech infrastructure, zero counterparty risk, and a permanent perch in central bank vaults. Bitcoin, by contrast, continues to trade like a risk asset whenever rates and yields climb.

So, when real panic sets in, investors are still reaching for the shiny metal, not the digital one.

However, there is ample evidence that CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly.

Climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities There is no climate emergency.

Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. If better approaches emerge, and they certainly will, we have ample time to reflect and re-adapt.

The aim of global policy should be ‘prosperity for all’ by providing reliable and affordable energy at all times. In a prosperous society men and women are well educated, birthrates are low and people care about their environment."

"Greenbelt, Maryland – A former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) employee pled guilty in federal court, today, to a conspiracy charge stemming from a scheme to evade Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and the Federal Records Act in connection with communications about coronavirus research grants.

David M. Morens, 78, of Chester, Maryland, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit offenses and to defraud the United States. Morens served as a senior advisor in NIAID’s Office of the Director from 2006 through 2022."

As news breaks of Jeremy Farrar's resignation from the WHO, here is a reminder that The Wellcome Trust, the UK charity led by Farrar in 2020/2021, "supported' the fraudulent Proximal Origins paper, funded the infamous Imperial College London 'lockdown until vaccination paper', benefitted to the tune of hundreds of millions of pounds from direct investments into pharmaceutical companies including Covid vaccine manufacturers AND ALSO paid millions of pounds in research grants to key UK scientists sitting on the influential SAGE committee. Only a handful of those funding relationships were ever declared by the relevant scientists.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot. Sir Jeremy was also described as the 'father figure' of Proximal Origins in testimony given by one of the co-authors of the report to a 2024 US congressional report, as well as having played a key role in orchestrating and drafting the paper.
