7/16 - Iran Warned Vance That Kushner, Witkoff Used Peace Talks As Cover For Insider Trading: Report

Officials calculated profits from insider trading on the war at $9 billion by June and formally demanded that half be allocated to Iran

Iranian negotiators sent a private warning to US Vice President JD Vance earlier this year, saying that US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were “abusing” their roles in the talks to profit from financial markets, Drop Site News reported on 16 July.

The Iranian negotiators sent the warnings to Vance through an intermediary during the late June talks in Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, telling him the pair cared more about profiting from insider knowledge of the negotiations than reaching a deal to end the war on Iran.

The negotiators also said that Kushner had been repeatedly leaking details of the talks to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with one US official telling Axios that Witkoff and Kushner “talk almost every day to Netanyahu” and the head of Mossad.

The Vance outreach came after Tehran had already tried to alert the White House to the pair's conduct, presenting evidence that “individuals close to [US] President [Donald] Trump” were abusing the war on Iran and diplomatic developments to manipulate financial markets, while warning of Witkoff's “overall destructive role in the previous negotiation.”

Financial analysts have observed a pattern since the war began in late February of speculative bets and unusually large positions in war-linked markets – oil futures, energy stocks, and prediction markets – often preceded by Trump announcements timed just before Monday trading opens in the US, fueling public suspicion of insider trading.

7/16 - 'Zionist Opposition' Makes Headway Ahead Of October Ballots As Netanyahu's Numbers Sink: Poll

The new poll comes weeks after a survey revealed that a majority of Israelis are opposed to the current premier’s re-election

A bloc of Israeli opposition groups led by the Yashar Party’s Gadi Eisenkot would win a majority of Knesset seats and be able to form a new government, according to a 15 July poll aired by Channel 13.

Former chief of staff Eisenkot’s party would manage to secure 21 seats, according to the Channel 13 survey. Current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party – the largest political party in Israel – holds 22 seats.

The next three largest parties are all opposed to Netanyahu.

The poll places former premier Naftali Bennett’s Together party at 15 Knesset seats and Yair Golan’s so-called “left-wing” Democrats party at 11 seats.

Avigdor Liberman’s Yisrael Beytenu party would be given 10 seats, according to the survey.

Wall Street In 'Panic' Over Saudi–UAE Rift As Financial Firms Prepare 'Contingency Plans': Report

Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the two largest Gulf economies, have been embroiled in a heated geopolitical rivalry in recent years

The growing rift between Saudi Arabia and the UAE has raised concerns in the world of finance, prompting major financial institutions to come up with “contingency plans” in the event that ties between the two Gulf states deteriorate further, Bloomberg reported on 13 July.

Being the two largest economies in the Persian Gulf, the tensions between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi have been causing “significant concern” within leading banks and investment institutions, several informed executives have told the outlet.

Wall Street is “terrified of being caught in the crossfire” of tensions between the Gulf nations, it said.

This includes institutions such as Goldman Sachs Group Inc., investment bank Morgan Stanley, the BlackRock Inc. investment firm, Brookfield Corp., and others.

The report explains that such major firms have for years expanded across both Saudi and Emirati markets – which combined make up more than $3 trillion in sovereign wealth.

‘Yesterday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the passing of two U.S. service members and the missing status of one in Jordan following an Iranian attack on July 17.

After a thorough search, U.S. military personnel found unidentified remains at the location earlier today. An examination process to verify the remains is ongoing.

Separately, a U.S. service member in northern Iraq was killed in action July 18 during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone.

A second service member was wounded and continues to receive medical treatment for a minor injury.’
