Announcing Reclaim Our Future: A Nonpartisan National Day of Action Against Data Centers

Independent journalists and activists are coming together to launch a National Day of Action Against Data Centers on Saturday August 1st, focused on protests, rallies, marches, teach in's and educational events around the rapid build out of hyperscale AI data centers.

ROF aims to build a non-partisan, non-violent alliance of activists, advocates, independent media outlets, individuals, influencers, and organizations who are ready to hit the streets and raise our voices. We believe it's time to collectively take a stand against the rapid acceleration in data center development.

"While some movements are focused on exclusively speaking to Conservatives or Liberals, we are willing to work with left, right, center, and politically homeless Americans who feel betrayed by both parties, " co-founder and independent journalist Derrick Broze said. "We are a non-violent, nonpartisan movement that opposes the expansion of data centers because of the threats to the environment and wildlife, the expansion of surveillance, and in the interest of a human-centered future."

We stand for a future and a world where the health of humanity, the environment, and wildlife takes precedence over the unchecked expansion of hyperscale AI-focused data centers.

We stand firmly against hyperscale data centers and AI tools which will disempower humanity, cause further destruction to the natural world, and increase the ability for state and corporate surveillance.

We demand local officials implement a moratorium on the construction of new data centers until adequate protections for the people, the environment, and wildlife are put in place. These protections could include but are not limited to local ordinances establishing noise limits, water protections, and specific zoning for data centers.

We are also demanding transparency from governments and corporate firms building the data centers with annual reports on air pollution, water consumption, etc.

"AI power plants can't hold a candle to People Power. This is the true power we must tap into right now, and Reclaim Our Future is kickstarting the generator." says Hakeem Anwar, co-founder and author of the AI Data Center Ecology Report. "Thousands of activated humans across 50 states, putting their hearts and minds together to address a problem that regulations won't. Its time to step up and organize, wherever you are."

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿค” Thomas Massie Suggests an Amendment to the Constitution is Needed: The Problem Isnโ€™t That Our Constitution Is Lacking; The Problem Is That The People Chosen To Uphold It Are Lacking.

These are desperate times, but a Convention to modify the Constitution is a desperate measure that absolves those responsible for our decline.

โ€”โ—๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ/๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท President Trump on Truth Social:

โ€˜Oil is flowing like never before, thanks to the awesome Power of the United States Military. A special salute to Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, and Commander of the United States Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper. Because of them, and all members of the Most Powerful Military anywhere in the World, BY FAR, the Strait of Hormuz is open to ALL Ship traffic except for Iran - and that is because of their lying, violent, malicious leadership, which is taking them down the path of TOTAL DESTRUCTION.

We will therefore have a FULL Blockade, but only on Ships coming to and from Iranian ports, or carrying anything have to do with Iranian cargo.

Based on highly productive conversations with Middle East leadership, I have decided to replace the 20% United States Reimbursement Fee with Trade and Investment Deals that the various Gulf States will be making into the United States. Those Investments will be MASSIVE but, at the same time, extraordinarily good for them, and their future. As everyone is aware, we have the largest Dollar Investment into the United States, of any Country in History, but these new Investments will make that Number even larger, and we will see Factories, Plants, and Equipment pour into the United States at Historic levels, which will create additional millions of High Paying AMERICAN Jobs!

America is WINNING again, winning like never before. The days of Iran killing hundreds of thousands of people, including 52,000 protestors, are OVER and, most importantly, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMPโ€™

โ—๏ธTrump claims he personally blocked Turkiye from entering the US-Israel war on Iran on the Iranian side

During the NATO summit in Ankara, US President Donald Trump claimed that his personal diplomatic intervention single-handedly stopped Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from mobilizing Turkiye's massive military against Israel.

Praising Erdogan's hospitality and touting Turkiye's formidable millions-strong armed forces, Trump asserted that Erdogan "wanted to" and "was going to" intervene on Iran's side due to his deep hostility toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump used the narrative of his supposedly war-preventing influence to justify rewarding Turkiye, publicly dangling the return of advanced F-35 fighter jets and the lifting of defense sanctions despite vocal, furious protests from Netanyahu.

The claims have sent shockwaves through the summit, triggering an immediate diplomatic fallout as Israel fiercely lobbies Washington against equipping a country it labels a volatile regional threat.

โ—๏ธJapan building first spy agency since World War II with western help

Japan is building its first centralized intelligence agency since World War II, privately seeking advice from the US, Australia, and Germany on technology, staffing, and priorities, The New York Times reported on 13 July.

The agency is budgeted at roughly $407m, expected to be operational by December, and set to coordinate around 33,000 intelligence personnel across the police, defense ministry, and foreign affairs ministry.

It forms part of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's push to shed postwar restrictions on defense and security in response to what Tokyo calls multiplying threats from China, Russia, and North Korea.

The plan has drawn criticism from China, which accuses Takaichi of militarism, and from Japanese lawmakers such as Mizuho Fukushima, who said the agency "infringes upon the right to privacy and other rights and paves the way for a surveillance society."

Trump 'Hit The Breaks' On Israeli Plan For Kurdish Invasion Of Iran: Report Israeli intelligence reports say Kurdish groups were 'eager' to join the operation with US and Israeli air support Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's inner circle is blamingโ€ฆ
7/10 - Erdogan, JD Vance 'blocked' CIA-Mossad Op For Kurdish Invasion Of Iran: Report

The Turkish government reportedly feared that chaos resulting from regime change in Iran would create new threats on its border

Turkiye prevented an Israeli and US-backed Kurdish invasion of Iran at the start of the war on the Islamic Republic, i24News reported on 8 July.

Kurdish militias were reportedly ready to begin the ground operation, but the US canceled it due to โ€œoppositionโ€ from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Senior Israeli sources told i24News that US intelligence agencies had planned the Kurdish operation for months. The role that Israel's foreign intelligence agency, Mossad, might have played was not discussed with the Israeli channel.

US intelligence agents held meetings with Kurdish armed groups, while providing them with weaponry and military training.

Israeli officials claimed that US Vice President JD Vance played a role in blocking the US-Israel-backed operation by leaking details to Turkish officials, allowing them to stop it.
