Leaked Documents Reveal US Plan To Bankroll New Israeli Tank Factory

Netanyahu recently claimed that Tel Aviv is seeking to ‘taper off’ its dependence on US military aid over the next decade

Washington may bankroll the construction of a new Israeli armored vehicle plant with up to $2 billion from military aid funds, according to US documents cited by Haaretz newspaper.

Last year, an Israeli ministerial panel for defense procurement approved the “Armored Vehicle Acceleration Project,” an initiative aimed at boosting the production rate of Israel’s Merkava tank, as well as its Namer and Eitan personnel carriers.

The initiative is meant to span a five-year period.

Two US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) presentations cited by Haaretz show that Washington is likely to take part in financing, designing, and constructing the “Joint Systems Manufacturing Center.”

“We are exploring the potential for a multibillion-dollar Joint Systems Manufacturing Center (JSMC) project, which could be a pivotal next step for the program,” one of the presentations reads.

"Israel still permits farmers to use poultry feces, feathers and chicken coop food scraps as cattle feed, despite the practice being banned in the European Union, the UK, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, Namibia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Agriculture Ministry permits 43,000 tons of what it calls poultry manure to be fed to calves and cows each year, according to Freedom of Information data obtained by the animal rights organization, Animals Now.

The progressive group launched a public education campaign against the practice on Sunday called “Eat less meat, eat less shit,” with posts on social media and posters plastered on the streets of Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan. Animals Now said 43,000 tons of the taboo ingredients is equivalent to over 1,400 full trucks parked bumper to bumper on the more than 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) it takes to travel from Tel Aviv to Netanya.

Many countries have banned the practice to stop pathogens and residues from heavy metals, pesticides and antibiotics from getting into beef.

However, according to Animals Now, farms in the Israeli meat industry mix food with up to three kilograms (6.6 pounds) of poultry feces daily for beef calves. In the dairy industry, cows are fed feces for their first two years, the organization added.

The regulations note that Clostridium botulinum is not eliminated during the curing or thermal heating process that the manure must undergo before it is used for feed.

Therefore, they instruct cattle breeders to vaccinate livestock against this toxic bacterium, although, they admit that vaccinations do not provide total protection."

Australia’s New Hate Speech Bill Is Reckless, Contradictory, And Repressive

Australia’s hate law rewrites justice into a guessing game where imagined offense can cost you five years of your life.

On January 12, Australia’s Attorney-General Michelle Rowland stepped to the podium and announced what she called “the toughest hate laws Australia has ever seen.”

The government plans to push its Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism Bill 2026 through Parliament on January 20, turning Australia’s speech laws into something that reads more like a psychological test than a criminal code.

The same week Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was praising Iranians “standing up for their human rights,” his government was preparing to criminalize speech at home even when no one’s rights or feelings had actually been touched.

The bill’s centerpiece is a new racial vilification offense. It bans “publicly promoting or inciting hatred” based on race, color, or national or ethnic origin, with penalties of up to five years in prison.

The measure’s core novelty is what it removes: proof of harm.

It’s “immaterial,” the draft says, whether “the conduct actually results in hatred” or whether anyone “actually” feels intimidated or fears harassment.

The courts will instead consider what a hypothetical “reasonable” member of the targeted group would feel, even if no such person exists in the case.

Prosecutors, the explanatory note clarifies, “would not be required to prove” any real fear at all.

The message: you can go to prison for causing theoretical discomfort in a theoretical person....

That five-year penalty isn’t for causing harm; it’s for crossing a line no one can quite locate.

The one solid shield in this maze of liability is religion. The offense “does not apply to conduct that consists only of directly quoting from, or otherwise referencing, a religious text for the purpose of religious teaching or discussion.”

Everyone else is left to improvise a defense under the general “good faith” clauses...
