VIDEO | Shimon Tubul, the deputy mayor of Beersheba (Bi’r as-Saba’) and a regular commentator on Israel’s Channel 14, said that any Palestinian in the occupied West Bank who attempts to cross a fence or what he called a “border” should be shot on sight.

“I felt a lot of anxiety about Israel… I hate to say this now, but on some deep level I thought there was something fundamentally problematic about Israel’s founding — that if I did enough research I’d find it and wouldn’t be able to defend it.”
She says she feels “embarrassed” about that instinct now, because after her research she concluded Israel is “completely unexceptional in its founding.”
An estimated 15,000 Palestinians were killed during the 1948 Nakba by Zionist militias that later formed the Israeli army, and more than 750,000 – around 80% of the Arab population of what became Israel – were forcibly displaced. Israeli Army Chief Dismisses Reservist Generals Over 7 Oct 'Failures'
Netanyahu refuses to authorize an independent investigation, including into the army's order to kill its own civilians during the Hamas attack
Several senior Israeli army commanders will be dismissed from reserve service, army chief Eyal Zamir announced on 23 November, citing their failure to prevent the 7 October 2023 Hamas Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
The dismissals come following an investigation by the military into its failure “to protect the civilians of the State of Israel” during the Hamas attack on Israeli military bases and settlements...
Three divisional commanders were blamed for their failure to prevent the Hamas attack, including the head of the military intelligence. All three had already resigned from their posts.
Disciplinary actions were also announced against the head of the navy and air force, as well as four other generals and several senior officers.
