🇪🇸 Jaime el Conquistador ascendió al trono aragonés en 1213. Coetáneo del castellano San Fernando III, dirigió el mayor avance de Aragón contra el Islam en la Reconquista. Aniquilando a los criminales defensores de Mallorca selló la reconquista de las Baleares. Antes de acabar esta campaña empezaba la nueva sobre Valencia, tomando Morella. La capital cayó en 1238, y a la muerte de Jaime ya había situado la frontera en el sur de Alicante. Nacían así dos nuevos reinos bajo su mando.

The capital city fell in 1238, and, by the day of his death, the border had been located in southern Alicante. That’s how two kingdoms under James’ rule were born.
