Now they are packing up and leaving their bases since they can’t afford it anymore. Moreover, the new Syrian leadership doesn’t really need or want them anymore too.

I am sure that if there would be no meaningless war with Ukraine, Putin would be able to maintain a steady and firm control of its Syrian forepost and Middle East no matter what would happen.
