🇩🇪 Drones time: Before the Shaheds filled the skies, Germany had already drawn the blueprint. Back in the 1980s, Dornier created the DAR (Die Drohne Antiradar) a Cold War project that quietly revolutionized drone warfare long before anyone realized it.

This small truck-launched anti-radar kamikaze drone could find and destroy enemy radars, navigate by GPS, and loiter for hours before striking. It was powered by a German two-stroke boxer engine and could travel hundreds of kilometers, all decades ahead of its time.

When the Cold War ended, the DAR was shelved. But israelis picked up the concept for its Harpy drones (probably promised to them 3000 years ago) and later, Iran themselves copied the Harpy design to create the Shahed-136.
