US President Trump signed an executive order pledging to intervene and assist Qatar if attacked.
Some have commented that this is akin to NATO Article V. It is not. The NATO treaty is a binding defense treaty ratified by Congress and signed my the president. An executive order is essentially a directive from the office of the president subject to change.
But, at least we now have an idea of what the Qatari’s got for their $500 billion investment pledge.

Germany's Munich Airport has been temporarily closed due to a drone sighting, resulting in the disruption of at least 20 flights.
Obviously a nothingburger… but
Why aren’t they just taking them down? I get it, you’re obviously not going to start shooting over an airport in the middle of the night just to drop an agricultural drone… but why not use EW? I’m not talking about big jammers that could mess with the airport or planes, but more targeted EW like those jam guns?

🔥 In the morning hours of today, October 3rd, Ukraine hit the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery in Russia’s Orenburg region located at 📍51.249714314, 58.519185519.
⚠️ The target of the strike seems to have been the refinery’s LCh-24-2000 gasoline and diesel hydrotreating unit, modernized in 2014 for deeper fuel purification and compliance with new environmental standards.
☁️ Videos of locals show white clouds hanging over the facility following the strike. It cannot be independently verified what damage this strike managed to cause.
📏 The refinery is located approximately 850 km from Ukraine’s center.
