At 12:01 AM October 1st EST, the government will shut down due to lack of funding. All essential government employees will be required to work without pay to an extent all non essential workers will be out of a job until Congress agrees to fund the government.

Nearly a million federal workers got the privilege of working for free or not at all, while Washington argued over a wall.🤪

Basically, the government proved it could shut itself down longer than most of us can keep a New Year’s resolution.🥴

💬 What i think we’re seeing is the US moving an awful lot of military assets to the Middle East as a tool to pressure Iran (and by proxy Hamas) to accept the peace proposal laid out by Trump, for him to add it to the list of wars he’s “resolved”

However the likely scenario in my opinion is a Palestinian rejection of the offer anyway. If this does happen then Trump will once again find himself in a situation where he can’t simply back off after moving all those assets without losing face, after which bad things will happen (or funny if you dont live in Iran)
