🇺🇦🇺🇸 The American startup Thermopylae Aerospace, founded by young Ukrainian engineer Yegor Balitsky, conducted a successful demonstration of the SPART interceptor for the U.S. Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base.
SPART is a foldable, pneumatically launched quadcopter interceptor designed primarily to counter larger drones, including strike drones such as the Shahed.
The device uses infrared guidance, can accelerate to approximately 350 km/h, and is designed for a flight duration of up to 20 minutes.
If the interceptor misses, it can be reused, and the design allows for the installation of launch systems on other drones, ground vehicles, ships, and manned platforms.
