The U.S. Air Force is looking for an AI agent that will integrate data from approximately 60 separate systems used to maintain the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles. This is intended to reduce manual labor and help track the condition of components and the need for their replacement.

The focus is specifically on maintenance and data analysis – AI will not be used for launching or controlling the missiles (at least not yet).

🇺🇸🇺🇦Human Rights Watch has called on the U.S. Congress to block the planned transfer of cluster munitions to Ukraine from Turkey's stockpiles. The organization reported that the transfer includes 70 ATACMS missiles, over 2,500 M26 missiles, and 47,000 artillery shells.

A portion of the munitions has been stored for over 30 years. HRW believes that the age of the munitions increases the risk of submunitions failing to detonate, which could pose a danger to civilians.

Previously, the U.S. State Department informed Congress about the possible re-export of this weaponry to Ukraine. The U.S. has stated that it is prepared to allow the transfer, and Turkey plans to reduce its outdated stockpiles in this way.

BIG: Sudan’s RSF-appointed Kordofan governor Hamad Mohamed Hamed defected live on Al Arabiya today.

He quit his role as governor and presidential council member under the RSF-linked Tasis government, calling on fighters to “return to the embrace of the homeland.”

He accused the RSF of fueling tribal and racial tensions, destroying cities, and killing civilians, describing conditions under RSF control as “heartbreaking.”

He urged restoring legitimate state institutions in Kordofan and Darfur.

More and more high ranking RSF leaders are starting to switch sides, which is a good sign in itself as when opportunist rats like these jump ship it means it's about to sink.

However the infuriating part is that all these creatures which spent the last year's slaughtering innocents will get red carpet receptions in the capital and a nice cushy office after the war, no one that defects now will actually get punished for anything they did

Also, just while we're on the topic of Sudan, the RSF has apparently launched an offensive from Ethiopia into the Blue Nile state, and have made advances beyond Geisan (a border town).

Sudan War Monitor hasn't posted about it yet so I won't take it as a fact yet, but Rerum and a few other channels have posted advances yesterday.

This would confirm Ethiopia's involvement in the war, despite their denials, as previous advances from their territory into the Kurmuk region could theoretically have been launched from South Sudan, even if they definitely weren't.
