On the call Johnson was heard saying that Medicare, Medicaid, and social security are “entitlements that need to be adjusted and fixed,” which is mostly diplomatic jargon for saying that they are cutting these things if Republicans win the midterms.

Don’t forget that a large cut to these programs have already been put in place before in the large partisan bill that republicans passed early this year. Also, quietly Johnson called for raising the retirement age and tried to create a commission to cut benefits behind closed doors.
