Also a shooting occured in the Israeli-Jordanian border checkpoint killing two IDF soldiers, the shooter hid in an aid truck headed to Gaza which was not inspected due to agreements between the Israeli and Jordanian government.

The interesting part is that one of the men is an replacement conscript, meaning he was paid 7 million kyats to take the place of another conscript
So he got 7 million kyats for taking his place, then was fed and cared for thorough training, just to then defect at the first opportunity while probably also gaining a prize for the weapon he brought with him
7 million kyats is roughly 3,333 USD, which is not exactly bad for a country like Myanmar where the economy is in shambles
