Face Masks and CO2 toxicity

Studies alleging that face masks increase the absorption of CO2 by 35-80 times are bad science. While mask wearing is harmful for a number of reasons, CO2 concentration under the mask being cited as one of those reasons is misleading. The mask only increases the dead volume of the respiratory system (Function Residual Capacity = 1800-2200ml) by a few percent (30-50ml), and the same CO2 concentration as measured under the mask is present in trachea and lungs at the end of each exhalation, with or without a mask. There is enough cash in existence to withdraw only 3% of ‘deposits’ held at the banks, assuming that all cash is on hand with the banks, and none already held by the people (which we know is not true).
