😀 Google is ending support for the Tenor API for third-party developers. For those hearing this for the first time, this is a 🎞-platform also used by the Telegram messenger to search for animations within the sticker and emoji panel, as well as through the official inline bot @gif. ☹️ According to Google, the decision to shut down this API was made due to a focus on the core services of the duopoly. There is a high probability that the reason lies in the huge power consumption for Tenor with lower earnings. The Tenor API remains available for the Gboard keyboard (Android and iOS) and in Google Messages and Google Chat, but for everyone else, it is simply being shut down.

🫸 Previously, Telegram used GIPHY as a platform for searching animations but abandoned it because the service was run by Facebook (now Meta). And it is unlikely that Durov's project will choose it.

Indian Government Issues Notice to Telegram Over Pirated Content

The Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry has issued a formal notice to Telegram, directing the messaging platform to take immediate measures against the widespread piracy of films and OTT content. Telegram has been asked to submit an Action Taken Report within 15 days.
