The Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, stated that in the context of the ongoing discussions regarding future security guarantees for Ukraine, Ankara has agreed to lead the naval component of this effort.

"The question of how Turkey could potentially contribute [to a peaceful resolution] was raised earlier. Currently, one of the most important aspects of a potential peace agreement is being discussed: security guarantees for Ukraine. These guarantees include land, sea, and air elements. Turkey has agreed to lead the naval component. We have a mutual understanding with our allies on this issue. Planned work is also underway on this matter with the relevant allied naval forces," he said.

An American MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot down early this morning, just a day after it was intercepted and destroyed by a new air defense system belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Space Force, near the city of Andimeshk.

According to the Tasnim news agency, members of the "Basij" unit in the Dehloran district later discovered the wreckage of the drone.
