Deep in the vast deserts of North Africa and the Middle East lives one of the most elusive and enchanting creatures: the sand cat. Perfectly adapted to its harsh, arid environment, this small wild cat thrives where few animals dare to tread.

Sand cats are masters of survival in the desert. Their thick, pale fur reflects the sun’s heat during the day and provides warmth during the chilly nights. Their broad, furry paws act like natural snowshoes, allowing them to move silently across the sand without sinking. Remarkably, they don’t need to drink water, as they extract all the moisture they need from their prey, which includes rodents, birds, and reptiles.

Despite their fierce hunting skills, sand cats are adorably kitten-like in appearance, with oversized ears that help them detect the faintest movements of prey underground. These ears, combined with their endearing round faces, give them an almost mythical aura, as though they belong in a desert fairytale.

Brave little cub!🐻

Check this tidbit from North American Bear Center:

"There is no consensus on why young animals risk injury and burn up energy in carefree activities simply to have β€œfun.” Play is most elaborate and prolonged in young mammals whose behavior as adults is based in large part on learningβ€”animals like bears, dogs, cats, and primates."

This little cutie is a Great Egret chick. Great Egrets, like so many other birds, were almost wiped out by greedy hunters. Now, hunters often get a bad rap because of the past but let's be clear, if there had not been a market for their plumage the slaughter would not have been as extreme. The fashion industry had an insatiable appetite for bird feathers and some ladies even wore entire birds on their hats! In other words, consumer preference can be a powerful factor in the well being of life on earth.

Blue-tongued skinks are mostly solitary lizards that claim a territory for themselves among the dry woodlands and grasslands of Australia. They forage for small animals, fruits and flowers during the day, sheltering under leaves or inside logs at night. Like other lizards, they bask in the sun to warm their bodies.

β€œIf you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.” β€” Warren Buffett

In a world filled with wars, uncertainty, and the fragility of the financial system, an individual's only safety net is their own capital. The time has come to take control into your own hands.

I’m Richard Shapiro, after 20 years in Goldman Sachs I stand at the forefront of a technological revolution - where innovation creates freedom for those bold enough to seize it. πŸ¦…
