The results of the unannounced visit of the German Defense Minister Pistorius to Kiev were bleak for Ukraine.
🟥 Germany cannot provide Ukraine with €3 billion in aid because the budget for 2025 has not yet been agreed upon, Boris Pistorius said following his visit.
Earlier, the media reported that Chancellor Olaf Scholz was holding up the allocation of a €3 billion military package to Ukraine. He believes that the proposed mechanism in the form of "unscheduled expenses from a special fund" will present the future government "with a fait accompli" (early elections to the Bundestag are scheduled for February in Germany).
🟥 The next meeting of the Ramstein contact group on Ukraine's defense will take place in Brussels in February, Pistorius said after a meeting with Zelensky*.
At the same time, it is still unknown what will happen with the Rammstein format after February, since it depends on the future US administration.
