>It’s so commonplace that soldiers going through Initial Entry Training are told during every field training exercise to not point their weapons at any travelers who may end up in the training area since the students only have blank ammunition and the travelers may have weapons with live rounds.

How the irony of this doesn't sink into the recruits is beyond me. "Go protect America by dying thousands of miles away, while America is flooded with browns.

"I was on my way to his house with a gun so I could challenge him to a fair duel, if he refused I was gonna just go back home I promise"
Story time fellas.
I'm in the process of selling a motorcycle on FB marketplace. A few days ago I had a premonition saying "if someone tries to trade guns for it, dont take it. They'll be feds and you'll go to prison". It happened like a voice in my head.
Fast forward a few days. Someone messaged me about the bike asking if I take trades. Already my alarm bells were going off just looking at the dude's profile. I knew what he was about to do. Sure enough he sent me 8 pics of an AR-15 with a red dot asking to trade for the motorcycle.
Remembering my premonition, I immediately declined. It's crazy. Not quite sure what to make of the experience but I'm glad I'm not being hemmed up by feds rn.
For reference, I've sold dozens of items/vehicles on FB and never once been offered a trade for a gun. FB also locks that stuff down hardcore on marketplace.

Culver’s is bringing its cheese curd burger back this month
The fast-food chain’s Curderburger, which grew out of an April Fool’s joke, will return for the last half of October.

The midwest has such a peculiar, overlooked beauty that's easy to underestimate. It may not have the impressive mountains of the Rockies nor the pristine beaches of the coast-- but it has something far grander, far more intriguing, far more sublime:
