🇺🇿On September 24 of this year, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF).

🟠The parties welcomed the holding of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, one of the largest international financial institutions, in Samarkand. In the context of the large-scale work carried out in the country to improve the investment climate, there was an increased interest of investors, including from the CIS countries, in Uzbekistan.

🟠During the meeting, plans for the implementation of new investment projects in the fields of energy, transport and infrastructure development, programs to support entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized businesses, which are a driver of economic growth and a source of job creation, were discussed.

🟠In this regard, the importance of joint development of specific mechanisms to achieve the goals of economic development and the most effective allocation of TIF resources to promising projects was noted.

🟠Following the meeting, mutual commitment was expressed to intensify joint efforts to increase the scale of cooperation and implement important projects in priority sectors of the country's economy with the active participation of the Fund.

✍️2024-yilning yanvar-avgust oylarida tovar ayirboshlash o‘tgan yilga nisbatan 20 foizga oshdi. Qo‘shma investitsiyalar portfeli turli sohalarda Elsewedy Electric, Orascom Investment, Orascom Construction, Gulf Data Hub, Nile Sugar, Solyphar va Elaraby Group kabi kompaniyalar ishtirokida amalga oshirilgan umumiy qiymati 1,5 milliard dollardan ortiq bo‘lgan 18 ta loyihani o‘z ichiga oladi.

🟠O‘zaro tovar ayirboshlash hajmini oshirish uchun barcha mavjud resurslar va imkoniyatlardan foydalanish zarurligi ta’kidlandi. O‘zaro tovar ayirboshlash hajmini oshirish yo‘llarini tahlil qilish va aniq takliflar ishlab chiqish bo‘yicha qo‘shma ishchi guruh tuzish chora-tadbirlari kelishib olindi.

🟠Moliya va bank institutlari o‘rtasida hamkorlikni yo‘lga qoʻyish, Misrlik kompaniyalarni yangi xususiylashtirish dasturi va infratuzilmaviy rivojlanish, taʼlim va sogʻliqni saqlash sohalarida davlat-xususiy sheriklik doirasidagi yirik loyihalarda ishtirok etishga faol jalb etish kabi ustuvor vazifalar ko‘rib chiqildi.

🟠Muzokaralar yakunida tomonlar hamkorlikni rivojlantirishga oʻzaro tayyor ekanliklarini bildirdilar va Oʻzbekiston va Misr oʻrtasidagi Savdo-iqtisodiy va ilmiy-texnikaviy hamkorlik boʻyicha hukumatlararo komissiyaning navbatdagi yigʻilishini joriy yil oxirigacha Samarqand shahrida oʻtkazishga kelishib oldilar.

🇺🇿На прошедшей в преддверии Ежегодного заседания совета управляющих Азиатского банка инфраструктурных инвестиций встрече министра инвестиций, промышленности и торговли Республики Узбекистан Лазиза Кудратова и министра финансов Египта Ахмеда Кучука основное внимание было акцентировано на развитии торгово-экономического и инвестиционного сотрудничества двух стран.

✍️ Товарооборот за январь-август 2024 года вырос на 20% по отношению к прошлому году. Совместный инвестиционный портфель включает 18 проектов в различных отраслях общей стоимостью более 1,5 миллиарда долларов, реализуемый с участием таких компаний, как Elsewedy Electric, Orascom Investment, Orascom Construction, Gulf Data Hub, Nile Sugar, Solyphar и Elaraby Group.

🟠Подчёркнута необходимость задействования всех имеющихся ресурсов и возможностей для наращивания объёмов взаимной торговли. Согласованы меры по созданию совместной рабочей группы для всестороннего анализа и выработки конкретных предложений по увеличению двустороннего товарооборота.

Выделены также приоритетные задачи – налаживание сотрудничества между финансовыми и банковскими учреждениями, активное вовлечение египетских компаний в участие в новой программе приватизации и крупномасштабных проектах государственно-частного партнерства в таких секторах, как инфраструктура, образование и здравоохранение.

🟠По итогам переговоров стороны подтвердили взаимную готовность к развитию сотрудничества и согласовали проведение очередного заседания Межправительственной комиссии по торгово-экономическому и научно-техническому сотрудничеству между Узбекистаном и Египтом до конца текущего года в Самарканде.

✍️ The trade turnover from January to August 2024 saw a 20% increase compared to the previous year. The collaborative investment portfolio boasts 18 diverse sector projects worth over $1.5 billion, with contributions from companies like Elsewedy Electric, Orascom Investment, Orascom Construction, Gulf Data Hub, Nile Sugar, Solyphar, and Elaraby Group.

🟠The meeting underscored the importance of leveraging all existing resources and opportunities to boost mutual trade volumes. A consensus was reached to establish a joint working group dedicated to conducting a thorough analysis and formulating targeted proposals to enhance bilateral trade.

🟠The discussions also pinpointed key priorities, such as fostering cooperation between financial and banking institutions and actively engaging Egyptian companies in Uzbekistan's new privatization initiatives and substantial public-private partnership projects across sectors like infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

🟠Concluding the talks, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing their cooperative relationship and arranged for the subsequent session of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt to take place in Samarkand before the end of the current year.
