The golden morning hums gently over our sun-warmed town, where the boots tap on wooden floors and wind chimes sing with the breeze. Mama, in her rosy apron, hums a soft tune while kneading honey-butter biscuits, and Papa adjusts his hat with a chuckle as he feeds the doves perched by the barn. The aunties wrap gingham cloth over picnic baskets, while uncles polish horseshoes and hang little sheriff stars on strings of summer garlands. Laughter spills like lemonade from the porch—the children, dressed in frilly chaps and flower-tied bandanas, play “Catch the Outlaw,” their giggles echoing like windbells across the meadow.
